Waiting on Wednesday

Photobucket

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, originally started at Breaking the Spine bookblog, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. I like to list a few reasons why this book made the top of my 'wish list', but it's purely up to you!

Here's my pick for this week:

Title: Fallen

Author: Lauren Kate

Publication Date: December 8th, 2009

Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers

Genre: YA Paranormal Romance

Summary (Amazon):

Seventeen-Year-Old Luce is a new student at Sword & Cross, an unwelcoming boarding/reform school in Savannah, Georgia. Luce’s boyfriend died under suspicious circumstances, and now she carries the guilt over his death with her as she navigates the unfriendly halls at Sword & Cross, where every student seems to have an unpleasant—even evil—history.

It’s only when she sees Daniel, a gorgeous fellow student, that Luce feels there’s a reason to be here—though she doesn’t know what it is. And Daniel’s frosty cold demeanor toward her? It’s really a protective device that he’s used again . . . and again. For Daniel is a fallen angel, doomed to fall in love with the same girl every 17 years . . . and watch her die. And Luce is a fellow immortal, cursed to be reincarnated again and again as a mortal girl who has no idea of who she really is.

Why Do I Want This?

1- Two words: YA Paranormal. I'm in!

2- It's about fallen angels-- not something I've seen in a lot of books lately.

3- The cover-- really, isn't that half of the reason why we read a book? Maybe even 3/4 of the reason? And this cover is beautiful! (Although I'm not completely sure if this is the US release cover or not, I had a hard time even finding this cover on the 'net, and no one I've asked is sure either....)

Want more information on Fallen? Click HERE to read an excerpt from the book! And be sure to pre-order your copy of it today-- I have a feeling this is going to be one of this winter's hot new releases! ;)

Enjoy!

Until Next Time,

This looks like a good book! I'll have to keep and eye out for it. My co-worker gave me a gift card for Borders for my birthday so I'm making a shopping list.

Smiles :-)

Ooops, just noticed it is a December release! Maybe I'll get another one for Christmas LOL! I'm enjoying your upcoming book notes, but it is bad, bad, bad for my tbr pile...

HEY Jenine!

I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen you anyone but LT or GoodReads. :D Welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy, feel free to look around. But be warned-- it is definitely bad for your TBR/wish list piles! :D

Ooh, I hope you find some great books for your B-Day! ;) And I know this one has already gone on to the top of my X-Mas wish list. It looks like it should be great!

Enjoy!
