Hunky Hero Hop and Giveaway!

Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop
Click HERE for the rest of the blogs participating! :)

I don't usually participate in these blog hops, though they always look like tons of fun. But come on--who could resist a Hunky Hero Hop? Not me!

The hardest thing, however, was coming up with my favorite hunky hero.

It's impossible--there are just too many! I signed up a few months ago, and started thinking about who I'd choose.

April comes along--still no idea.

The day I had to sit down and finalize this post? Yep, still no clue. But I knew I needed to pick one--today. So I did. And it wasn't easy!

First, I'd like to say that there are still hundreds of other hunky heroes out there that I still love. From historical heroes such as Ian and Cam from Jennifer Ashley's Highland Pleasures series, to paranormal heroes such as the BDB ('nuff said!)....I could go on and on, but I won't. :)

So who did I choose for my hunky hero? Is he a vampire or a demon? A duke or a handyman?

Nope.

He's a rock star. A very sin-worthy rock star. :) Ladies, give it up for...

Brian "Master" Sinclair!
*screams erupt, bras are thrown--at Brian, obviously*

about the Sinners!
Occupation: Lead Guitarist, Composer
Favorite Instrument: Schecter Hellraiser custom, black w/white flecks
Born: February 21
Vitals: Black hair, brown eyes, 5’10″ tall
Known for his finger-burning solos, some say Brian “Master” Sinclair was born with a guitar in his hands. While that isn’t exactly true, he did pick up the instrument at an early age. This is no surprise as his father is renowned guitarist, Malcolm O’Neal, of the 1970′s rock band, Winged Faith. Brian is a native of Southern California. He graduated from high school approximately ten years ago and started college to become a music teacher. When the band signed a contract with a major label in his freshman year, Brian quit school to tour with Sinners full-time.
Brian is currently married. His wife’s name is Myrna.
Previous bands: Lead guitarist for Crysys

Where to Find Brian:

Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning
Series: Sinners on Tour, 1
Genre: Contemporary Erotica

Up until this year, I had never heard of this series. I apparently live a sheltered life. :) But after hearing a few bloggers talking about how awesome it is (C.S. Maxwell--Where's My Hero? especially), I knew I had to put it on my list. Since I was participating in RAK at the time, I also put it on my wishlist, and the amazing Heather (Book Savvy Babe) sent me her copy once she was through with it. Thanks again! :)

I put off starting it as long as I could (reviews first, pleasure reading second...), but after about a month, I couldn't wait any longer. And I'm so glad that I didn't wait! Wow!

If, like me, you've never thought about a rock star hero much---this series will change your mind. You may soon find yourself one of the screaming Sinners fan, throwing your bras at the men and willing to Suxsed to get a backstage pass. :D I am now officially a huge fan of this series--and this author.

Now if only the Sinners were real, because I would totally.....Ahem. Well, that will be for me and the band to know! *Wink*

Why is Brian (as well as the other band members) a hunky hero in my mind? Well, why not? They're total badass men, rockstars who love the fame and fans and sex that come with it. Especially the sex. I'll say right off the bat--if you are not into explicit sex, sex in public situations, menages, etc...well, this series, unfortunately, is not for you. It's wickedly, sinfully, deliciously erotic--and I loved every minute of it!

Brian is also a bit of a sweetheart though. Don't get me wrong, he's still strong and wicked and a bit dangerous (or at least looks the part), but out of all the Sinners, he's jokingly called the romantic one. He's always falling in and out of love, getting his heart broke by all the bimbo hos that follow the band. But all that changes when he meets Myrna, a college professor (Human Sexuality--needless to say they get along well!) who is about a decade older than him. Suddenly group blows and seeing which one can get the most, um, partners, is no longer important to him. He just wants Myrna. I loved watching the two of them together, both in and out of the bedroom.

And bathroom. And buses. And... Hey, I told you, sex happens every other page practically! :)

But perhaps the top reason why I loved Brian? His killer skills of seduction. I can well imagine why Myrna was so responsive with him--while reading these scenes, I think my legs were permanently crossed, my cheeks rosy from blushing and my breath? Panting all the way! And I'll admit this proudly, because--Damn! Not only does Brian have some killer stamina, but he also gets inspired during great sex with Myrna, hearing new songs and riffs in his head. It's just *shudders* soooo sexy! The things he can do with his magic fingers and... Oh My.

And don't even get me started with Trey's cherry sucker habit. Oh God...

Believe it or not, it's not just all the flat out sexy times in this book that made me give it a 5 star rating last week. It was also the humor, the banter between not only the hero and heroine but the rest of the band. The fact that all the members seem to have either dark pasts/secrets or intimacy issues (which I would gladly help them to fix..). They're just a rowdy group of boys who need to find their perfect woman, and learn that they've got some serious talent--why waste it with the drinking and partying and endless one-night stands? I loved Brian, probably because he was my first intro into the Sinners world. But I also loved all the other boys, and I can't wait to read their individual stories.

Now that I know Olivia Cunning's writing, I'll know to grab a bag of ice and a fan before I try reading the next books. :) Not to mention it will have to be paperback, because I'd hate for my NOOK to blow up from the fire burning between the pages! :)

I would highly recommend that you start this series ASAP! And because I can't say enough great things about it, I'll be giving away a copy as part of the Hunky Hero Hop!

When I was a teenager, all I did was go to rock concerts. Never got to me any of the rock stars/heroes, so why not live vicariously through a book. Brian Sinclair sounds delicious. Can't wait to read this.

Btw, have you read Fifty Shades of Grey? Christian Grey? Oh my! *fans self*

LOVE Master Sinclair!! I have a thing for rockers in most books, but those Sinners are HOT. I'd have to say though that the rock star hero I'm most looking forward to reading about is Trey's brother, Dare Mills.

For those of you who haven't read Backstage Pass, you definitely need to!!

I love the idea of rockstars as heroes. I've already read 3 other books with this type of hero.

I haven't read these books yet. Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy.

depends on the rockstar so many just remind me of drug and loose But there are a few that I like
swkimbell@yahoo.com

The_Book_Queen said...

That's true--I think the fantasy rockstar is probably more appealing than the majority of real ones. :) But maybe they're just waiting for their soul mate to find them and bring them back from the edge of destruction!

Excellent hunky hero choice. Rock stars are gods!

Unknown said...

I really think rock stars are overrated. I mean, they're nice to look at, but that's as far as it gets. I like a man with brawn, but sensitive and kind at the same time.
Lauren

The_Book_Queen said...

Yes, yes they are! :D

The_Book_Queen said...

Oh yes, brawn and sensitive is always a nice combo! :) Still, I think if you find the right rockstar.... :D I think Brian kind of fits that description.

Good Luck!

I do love some hot rock star heroes. They really make me remember the hotties that I had crushes on when I was in my teens in the late 80's and the 90's. There were a lot of sexy rockers.

My favorite hunky hero right now is Wraith from Larissa Ione's Demonica series. He is a sexy half-demon/half-vampire, who is a tortured hero. So yummy!!!

:) I never did get into any of the rockers, even in my teens. But now? Well, I'm thinking I had something wrong with me back then... LOL.

Oh, tortured heroes are the best! :D And paranormal ones? Even more so! Great choice, love Ione's series!

Great Hunky Hero Choice. Have gotten alot of recommends for this series but your description of Brian has got me wanting to read it now. Thank you for the heads up on this giveaway.

My Hunky Hero Choice is Archangel Raphael from Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh. He Loves Elena unconditionaly and she brings out a little human in him.

rock stars are o'k as long as they have muscles and are not too skinny

My hunky hero candidate is Kim DeLury (Conchobar from Witchblade TV series).

I don't think that I have read a book that has a rock star hero, but I think I'd love to. I used to love Joe Elliott from Def Leppard...still do.

Oh, never heard of him, off to Google to see... :)

The_Book_Queen said...

*Nods* I have to agree--while it's not a requirement that they have TONS of muscles, they shouldn't be too skinny. Most of the rockstars I've seen today are just too...skinny for my tastes. And they look more Emo than they do truly rock + roll hard.

But the Sinners are not like that at all! :) Nope, they're all yummy hunks....

Enjoy!

The_Book_Queen said...

Oh, I was practically raised from birth on Def Leppard (and Bon Jovi, to a slightly lesser degree). My mother LOVED that band, went crazy for anything about them, though I don't believe she got to one of their concerts before she passed away. All of the band members were pretty hunky, as I recall--haven't seen them lately though, so maybe that's not the case now? Lol. Still enjoy their songs, listening to them reminds me of my mother.

Enjoy!
