Here's my candidate for the week:
Bedding Lord Ned by Sally MacKenzie
Publisher: Kensington (June 5, 2012)
Series: Duchess of Love, 1
Genre: Historical Romance

"Pleasure Is On Her Dance Card" - Determined to find a husband, Miss Eleanor "Nell" Bowman attends a ball put on by the Duchess of Greycliffe, fondly referred to as the Duchess of Love. But she roundly dismisses the suitors the matchmaking hostess has invited on her behalf. For it's the duchess' dashing son Ned, Lord Edward, who long ago captured Nell's heart - and roused her desire. All it takes is a pair of conveniently misplaced silky red bloomers to set the handsome widower's gaze on this unusual girl who is clearly more than meets the eye...After more than a year of mourning, Ned longs to finally start anew. At first glance, the birthday ball his mother has thrown in his honour is decidedly lacking in suitable mistresses. But he senses something unexpectedly alluring beneath the veil of Nell's plain exterior - something she's anxious to reveal, and the lonely Lord is incapable of denying...

Why?
I've read a few of Sally's novels before (her "Naked" series) and really enjoyed the writing style and story she told. I have yet to return to the series, but it is on my list!

Now I'm adding this series to my list as well. Sounds like a hoot, with a matchmaking mother and all. :)

Love the cover--it's got blue, my favorite color, so perhaps I am a bit biased. :) But it's nice, kind of simple, but tastefully done. I like the way the heroine's shown, as it's a bit girly and feminine, but not overly so.

Oh, and the kind of random little kitten trying to play with her foot? Cute! :)

TBQ---I must admit, I am not much of a fan for historical (GASP)--sad, but true.
This cover is just okay for me--I think the cat on the cover kind of throws me off. But I love the dress :)

*GASP* Not a historical fan? Oh girl, we've got some work to do... Lol. ;) All right, I'll forgive you for it--after all, we don't all read the same genres and love them. :D

I'll admit, this cover isn't the best I've found, but I did this post late Saturay night (usually I do it the first part of the week) and I was running out of options. :) Still, I will probably read this series though, I do like her writing!

Thanks for stopping by and participating!

Enjoy,
TBQ

This author is new to me. The Cover is cute with the cat. The blurb sounds interesting. I 2nd it has to be hoot with a matchmaking mother.

:) I had to mix it up a bit---otherwise week after week of sexy men on the covers might make us forget about the other great cover options available. :) Next Sunday--back to sexy men on the covers, though. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy,
