[Pat's Review]: "Wild About Her Wingman"

Wild About Her Wingman by Robin Bielman
Publisher: Entangled: Bliss (April 14, 2014)
Series: Secret Wishes, 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Playing it safe never felt so risky.

Erin Watters is her small town’s resident wild child—she doesn’t do boring, and after having her heart annihilated, she definitely doesn’t do relationships. Her friends have other ideas, though, and when they throw down a matchmaking challenge, impulsive Erin can’t ignore it. Even when the annoyingly hot Troy Strieber accepts the matchmaker role…

As a rescue paramedic, Troy’s used to watching out for people. Never mind the bet he made with his buddy to play Erin’s wingman. But the more time he spends with the sexy, charismatic woman, the more he discovers a side of her she doesn’t let many see. Soon what started as an innocent game of matchmaking has them both thinking about the person right under their nose. But Troy’s a play-it-safe guy, and he won’t let a woman who lives for risk ever steal his heart.

Pat's Review:

This is another installment of Ms. Bielman's Secret Wishes series.  A charming small town love story that will warm your heart, while at the same time have you laughing at these wonderful characters.

Erin Watters is a beautiful adventure junky, known to the town as their "wild child." Just before she graduated from college she suffered a betrayal, and break up that hurt her deeply. She moved back home with her parents and despite her family's efforts, refused to battle her grief. On a whim, she went sky diving with a friend, and a new Erin appeared. She was hooked on the adrenaline rush, and sky diving was just the beginning. She is now in grad school, and working as the Assistant Director of Outback Adventure.  She is reluctant to trust, and her friends one by one have found their soul mate, and want her to do the same.  Two or three dates is her about her limit, and time to move on. She needs a matchmaker.

Troy Steiber is a para medic with the local fire company.  He is equally as reluctant to take a chance on love, with a heartbreak of his own. But, he does have a reputation of matching couples, and they actually marry, so he is the perfect choice for Erin. Not only will he find her dates, but will be her wingman to protect her if she wants out of the date.  A severe allergic reaction, and a gash on her hand precipitated the meeting between Erin and Troy. They both agree to try this, and little do they know what's about to mess with their lives.

Parades, festivals, boat flotilla's and lots of families and friends add to the enjoyment of this story.  Another small town series to add to my favorites.  Troy was an amazing brother, uncle and friend, whose heart needs a little TLC. Erin, the wild adventuress, learns that maybe there is more to life than testing her fitness, and being a daredevil.  A highly recommended read.

4 STARS!
