An FBI agent and a Navy SEAL race against time in New York Times bestselling author Laura Griffin’s newest Tracers novel. “Griffin delivers the goods!” (Publishers Weekly)

FBI agent Elizabeth LeBlanc is still caught in the aftermath of her last big case when she runs into the one man from her past who is sure to rock her equilibrium even more. Navy SEAL Derek Vaughn is back home from a harrowing rescue mission in which he found evidence of a secret terror cell on US soil. Elizabeth knows he’ll do anything to unravel the plot—including seducing her for information. And despite the risks involved, she’s tempted to let him. Together with the forensics experts at the Delphi Center, Derek and Elizabeth are closing in on the truth, but it may not be fast enough to avert a devastating attack…

Following in the bestselling tradition of the Tracers series, including Exposed, Scorched, and Twisted, Beyond Limits pulls out all the stops with Griffin’s most gripping thriller yet.

Pat's Review:

I hope my review convinces people who like action, suspense and romance to read this book. I have been a Laura Griffin fan since her first book was released, Beyond Limits has just hit my all time favorites list.

FBI agent Elizabeth LeBlanc has been asked  to work a case of a lifetime. A recent hostage rescue in Afganistan resulted in a safe rescue, but also a cache of documents pointing to terrorist activity in the Houston area. The rescue was completed by a SEAL team, and one of it's members died during the extraction. She is called to a meeting where she meets the SEAL team and is immediately caught off guard by the leader, Lieutenant Derek Vaughn. A year ago they had a very close encounter, and he was off again on another mission. She never forgot him. He has attempted to reach her, but she never called him back. A relationship with a man gone 10 months of the year to dangerous places constantly risking his life was not in her comfort zone.

Derek Vaughn has never forgotten Liz. She is in his dreams and thoughts whenever he has a minute of down time. Now, they could be working on the same team, stopping terrorist activity here at home. Derek mourns the loss of his SEAL team brother, and wants justice. He also wants Liz.

The action and suspense in this novel is non-stop. What is most frightening is the terrorism they are trying to prevent is happening in France as I was reading this story.

Quite a reality check. This book is not for the faint of heart, my pulse was pounding at the end. The relationship between Derek and Elizabeth seems very real, as well as the other characters on the SEAL team and in law enforcement. I can only give the highest praise for this romantic suspense novel.....there is a peek into the next Tracer's novel, and the wait is going to be difficult.

5 STARS!

I'm a fan of the Tracers series and my favorite so far is Snapped. I wonder if there's more romance in Beyond Limits than in her last release.
