[Review]: "Yours All Along"

Yours All Along by Roni Loren
Publisher: InterMix (June 16, 2015)
Series: Loving on the Edge, 7.5
Genre: M/M Contemporary

The new Loving on the Edge romance from the New York Times bestselling author of Nothing Between Us turns on the heat between two men who wonder how much they’re willing to risk in the name of love.

Four years after an accident tore their friendship apart, Hunter and Devon are living separate lives. Hunter is now the all-America hero—a congressman’s son and a pro pitcher in Houston preparing to marry his beauty-queen girlfriend. Devon is in Dallas running a new restaurant.

But when Hunter unexpectedly shows up in Devon’s bar, Devon can’t turn him away. Damn it if the man isn’t still gorgeous. But engaged? Hell no. All he’s doing for Devon is bringing back memories of their college-roommate days, and the night their relationship went too far. Turns out Hunter has never forgotten it either.

Now Devon can’t help but be drawn in all over again by the only guy who’s ever gotten close enough to break his heart. Maybe one more night together would be enough for both of them to finally move on. Or maybe one night will change everything…

My Review:

They were beyond lines being drawn in the sand. Moats needed to be dug and armed guards installed.

Yours All Along is a friends-to-lovers story that I adored. Devon and Hunter were great together – fun, cute, and sexy as hell. My only complaint is I wish there had been more, a full novel for these two. This short novella was not nearly enough, and I was a tad disappointed in the quick ending. Fingers crossed that Loren can finish up their story in another novella soon.

“Not your type?”

Devon closed his eyes “Nope.”

You're exactly the wrong type.

I don't fuck people I love.

Even though this is a fairly short story, I still managed to highlight a dozen or so quotes – sexy ones, funny ones, and everything in between.

“Is this How to Jerk Off Like a Boss 101?” Hunter joked, but then his whole body shuddered. “Oh, shit.”

Devon smiled. “And we've located our target.”

The chemistry was great between these two, with a nice build up that I very much enjoyed.

God, Hunter had kissed his fair share of people but never had he wanted to get lost in it like this, like kissing wasn't a prelude but a main fucking event.

I'll definitely be going back to read more of Loren's books, and I really hope these two get more of their story told in the near future!

4 STARS!

I have 3 books by her "in store", including the beginning of her "Not until you" series, but not that one (not yet !). I love a good friends to lovers story, thanks for sharing !

This is one of my favorite series ever. I loved this one too and it was written as a bit of a prequel for the next full-length, Call on Me that is Devon's sister's story. I really hope Hunter and Devon's storyline continues b/c I wanted more at the end there, too.

I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but... *fans self*

I do it. All. The. Time. :D That is such a sexy cover though -- simple, but sexy.
