Sometim...I appreciate your points about the story. Sometimes reading all the books makes a difference in how a character is revealed and some times it doesn't like for the hero in this one. I've actually liked a character better b/c I didn't know them in the previous book, but I admit that I read a book recently where the character was likeable in the first book, but less likeable in the second book.
