From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Dane comes the latest release from Cosmo Red-Hot Reads from Harlequin.

She won’t be satisfied with just one bite...

With his tattoos, piercings and sensual sneer, Gregori is the ultimate bad boy. Wren’s gotten to know the man beneath the body art, too—and it only makes her crave him more.

But Gregori loves women like he loves cake and champagne—intensely, but only for the moment. And after Wren experiences just how scorching sex with Gregori is, she’s determined to show him that just one taste won’t be enough...

Musing Maddie's Review:

Lauren Dane's books are dangerous. With the title in mind, imagine tantalisingly sweet, richly decadent, sinfully delicious, and completely addictive. Voila! You have Lauren Dane's novella, Cake .

The heroine, Wren, was wonderful. She was the brilliant combination of intelligent, sassy, beautiful, and confident. She oozed sensuality and strength. For Grigor, she was a seductive yet innocent woman, content in her own space, needing nothing from him, except his love. In her he found light.

Grigor's description will have you swooning. Sexy, sexy man. With an accent. Body piercings. An extremely talented artist with large, talented, cough, hands. Need I say more? Yes, you will love him. His flaw? He feared vulnerability.

There is a no-fuss attitude to Wren that was both refreshing and beguiling. Grigori didn't stand a chance. But, would he accept the gauntlet thrown him?

Cake was paced fabulously, and kept me captivated from start to finish. Do not start this book if you have chores to do. Written in third person, your taste buds will be tickled and your mind indulged, as you enjoy both points of view throughout. Supporting characters added just the right amount of frosting. You need extravagant sizzle? Cake is for you.

A quick, schmexy and completely enjoyable read. I love Lauren Dane's impressive work, and Cake is now another delight added to my favorites.

   4 STARS!

Meet Musing Maddie:

Musing Maddie is an avid reader, who mainly devours all things romance. She loves series, but only when the story warrants a few books rather than one. A strong, intelligent female with a bit of sass and wit is the preferred heroine in the books she reads, and some sizzle between the sheets is welcome too. Well, ok...more than welcome! Well, not just between the sheets is just fine too! She’s from Down Under, so her humor is on the crazy side. Captivating storylines, with well developed plot and yes, hot, hunky Heroes, is definitely a preference, but she loves it when the characters are damaged, and their story brings hope and restoration. Yes please to HEAs!
