Out of the frying pan into the fire…

Roman has one hard and fast rule—don’t sleep where you eat. But he can’t say no to Jenna’s plea for him to help her save her family business. Soon she's working for him, and their scorching chemistry melts Roman’s resistance.

If you can’t stand the heat…

Jenna knows Roman has reservations about enjoying the heat between them, but she’s got a plan. She’s going to keep this sexy man so satisfied in—and out—of the kitchen, he won’t regret a thing. But Roman has his own ideas. He wants more than a few hot nights, and he's going to teach Jenna a lesson about playing with fire.

Pat's Review:

Roman Gallagher is an excellent chef and a very handsome man. He has the reputation of a playboy thanks to his habit of dating lots of beautiful women and the tabloids love him.
Roman has been banished to revive a small seaside restaurant, The Beach House on Venice Beach, and told to keep a low profile by his Mom who is trying to seal an important business deal.  He is not having fun!

Jenna Cooper trained as a professional chef to work in her family's restaurant, Cooper's. The restaurant has been having financial difficulties, and losing customers so Jenna's parents are contemplating selling.  Jenna refuses to let that happen, so decides to consult with her brother's best friend and a man who has "the Midas touch with failing restaurants" Roman Gallagher.  The man she just happened to have a crush on since she was a teenager.
She walks in to his restaurant with a plan. An offer he can't resist. She will bake heavenly desserts for his restaurant in exchange for him sharing his ideas of how to save Coopers.  If they just so happen to be able to be friends with benefits all the better.

The description of Jenna's desserts will make your mouth water, and watching Roman try to deny his growing feelings for Jenna is laughable. When he gives up....oh the sizzle.

Add to the mix a feisty ex-girlfriend, mothers who meddle, and making a unique confection for a huge fundraiser in Las Vegas and oh yes, a fake engagement. This novel will keep you entertained and hungry to the end.  No spoilers, but what an ending.....sigh. This is the second book in the Hot Nights series, but enjoyable as a stand alone.
