Here's my candidate for the week:

Designed for Love by Kelsey Browning
Publisher: Carina Press (November 24, 2014)
Series: Texas Nights, 4
Genre: Contemporary Romamce

Ashton Davenport: Hot blonde. Old Money. Off-limits.

That’s how Mac McLaughlin sees her, anyway. And now that he’s enduring a temporary self-imposed exile in tiny Shelbyville, Texas, he’s seeing her way too often. Mac only wants to succeed as the contractor for the Lily Lake development in order to rebuild his reputation and return to Dallas, pronto. A sexy distraction like Ashton was not in the plans.

Mac McLaughlin: Hot builder. Cash poor. Hands-on.

Ashton kissed her trust fund goodbye and left her life as a society princess to prove she could make it on her own. Developing Lily Lake is her big chance, but it’s hard to stay focused working side-by-side with bossy, rough-around-the-edges Mac. Especially when he pulls off his shirt.

When the discovery of an endangered species derails the project, Mac can’t afford to stick around for a stalled job. His and Ashton’s explosive chemistry aside, he’s outta there…unless she can convince him that they just might be able to build something together.

Pat's Pick

The Crystal Slipper by Selena Fulton
Publisher: Entangled: Covet (September 22, 2014)
Genre: Paranormal Romance

A paranormal category romance from Entangled's Covet imprint...

Sometimes you just have to believe...

A single crystal slipper . It was probably the weirdest gift librarian Celinda Branham ever received during a Christmas gift exchange. Who would even wear these in the real world? Not Celinda, wearer of sensible shoes and fairy tale naysayer. That said, she certainly has the requisite wicked stepmother, irritating stepsister, and empty bank account. Of course, if she actually believed in all that fantastical junk, she could wait for her Prince Charming...

Only Prince Charming doesn't exist. But Preston Chandler believes in fairy tales. Oh, does he ever . All he did was spurn the advances of a certain witch, and now his sister is under a sleeping spell. And the only way to break it? Find the other glass slipper and give someone "Love's First Kiss." But when Preston finally tracks down Celinda, he's dismayed to discover that the shy librarian who owns the other shoe has no interest in anything remotely resembling magic—including love. Now he must find a way into his Cinderella's cynical heart, or lose his sister... and his only chance for true love.

  1. Well, Pat and your covers are cute and Kame is sexy. So, you have that cute sexy thing going on. LOL. I on the other hand had decide to go a little Christmasy. I know it's a bit early, but I LOVE the cover.

  2. :) Oh, don't say the C word -- it's far too early! LOL I'll forgive you though, since it's a good cover!

  3. I do love Kelsey's covers. They just make me smile for some reason :)

  4. You should read her books! It would be best to read them in order; the heroine for this book first appears in an earlier book and she's, well, kind of a bitch at times, hard to connect to. BUT I am confident that Kelsey will turn her around in this book. But yes, that is quite the kiss, isn't it? :)

  5. I couldn't get that cover out of my head. LOL. I saw another cover, but I just couldn't remember who it was cause Sarah's was like "look at me, look at me."
