#FitReaders: Weekly Check-In

,

A new year, new goals. And this year I'm participating in FitReaders to help get in shape.

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About. Interested in joining? Find out more HERE

July 17th - 23rd:

  • Friday --  Two walks.  32 minutes of Daily Burn. 14,491 Steps | 6.63 Miles
  • Saturday --  Two walks.  10,988 Steps |  4.86 Miles [Rest day]
  • Sunday --   Two walks.  33 minutes of Daily Burn.  15,296 Steps |  6.77 Miles
  • Monday --   Two walks.  32 minutes of Daily Burn.  13,580 Steps | 6.01 Miles
  • Tuesday -- Two walks.   38 minutes of Daily Burn.  15,281 Steps |  6.76 Miles

  • Thursday --  Two walks.  32 minutes of Daily Burn. 13,710 Steps | 6.07 Miles

Finally, this more intense program is no longer killing me like it was on week 1. Oh, it still burns while doing it, and I'm covered in sweat by the end, but I'm no longer hobbling around, waiting to die from the workouts. :)

This program gives me two "rest days" -- Sat and Tues. Guess who forgot that Tues was a rest day? (I only realized it last night!) *sigh* Only one rest day for me this week then.

  • Total steps for the week:  98,.51 Steps
  • Total miles for the week: 43.61 Miles
  • Total DB minutes for the week: 200 Minutes

If you use FitBit, you can find me HERE. Let's make 2015 our year to get fit! :)

Enjoy!

Until Next Time,

That is an incredible workout you're doing! I have no clue how you ARE walking afterwards!!! Two walks a day? Damn you are disciplined! Great job!!

Ha, thanks. Discipline and gradually working my way up; I've been doing the walks for almost two years (started at one a day, and only a few blocks, now twice a day and 4 miles total). Like they say, it's hard to get started on a routine, but once you have, it's easy (or at least easier!) to keep going. :D

You have a great workout routine set up. I'm all over the place and really need to find something that works for me. I'm currently training for a marathon (walking it!) so doing lots of walking, but need to find something else to do on my off days. I usually do yoga, but don't always make it to the classes.

Best of luck on the marathon, Kristin! :)

I know what you mean; I love my daily walks, but by themselves, they're just not enough to get to my goals. Almost three months in and Daily Burn seems to fit for me, since I can easily do the workouts at home, whenever it's convenient for me.
