[Review]: "Coming Back"

Coming Back by Lauren Dane
Publisher: Forever (December 8, 2015)
Series: Ink and Chrome, 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance -- Triad

The men of Twisted Steel are great with their hands.

And they're not afraid to get dirty.

Mick Roberts, the newest partner at Twisted Steel's custom hotrod and motorcycle shop, looks like a man with everything. But secretly he still craves the connection he lost when his best friend Adam and the love of his life Jessilynn walked out. Then, he wasn't ready for the pleasure they promised. Now, things have changed.

Rich, powerful, and insatiable, Adam Gulati is used to getting what he wants. And there's nothing he wants more than Mick and Jessi. He hasn't seen either in over a year, but the second he sets eyes on them again his memories-and his desires-can't be denied.

After trying to live without them, Jessi Franklin realized no one else can satisfy her like Adam and Mick. The three of them need one another-in more ways than one. It's time to stop pretending and submit to the hunger they all share. But once they go down this road, there's no turning back. As deeply devoted as they are, no one knows what great bliss their forbidden fantasy will find-or the price they may pay . .

My Review:

Between the inked-up, rough-and-tumble Mick and Adam, the debonair dom, she was totally screwed. But like, in a good way. This sort of thing they made together was a sort of magic, and there was nothing she could do but love it as much as she loved them.

Um, how could I resist reading this book? Answer: I couldn't.

I'm glad I did grab it on NG. I really enjoyed Mick, Adam and Jessi.

It goes without saying that this was a very sexy romance. Deliciously steamy, in fact. I can't believe I didn't highlight a sex scene to share. Regardless, these three were fantastic together, no matter who was doing what. Mick and Adam? Yes. Mick and Jessi? Yes. Adm and Jessi? Yes. All three? Yes, yes, and more yes. I loved when Adam would take control, of Mick especially, to give Mick what he needed. *shivers* Just trust me on this!

I seem to have a lot of fun quotes highlighted. For example:

"Mick, I love your tiger. Which isn't a euphemism for your penis. Though I really like that too."

And:

"I'm not saying that I didn't have any good sex. I'm saying he doesn't know what to do with his teeth."

Everyone winced at that.

"It is pretty big. Kind of hard to keep teeth out of the way with such a mouthful. I can see why he couldn't remember his manners." Jessi shrugged.

There's some pretty good banter and smirk-worthy lines, which I'm always a fan of.

But besides the sexy-times and the fun banter, I also highlighted a lot of quotes that spoke to me, ones that I could relate to. I shared most of these on my Twitter account while reading, but here's my top favorites again.

"I don't think you're a monster  for wanting your life to be filled with people who are positive forces within it. You get to want love and respect. You deserve to be able to set limits. You deserve to be loved."

Because that's something we all need to hear. Multiple times, in fact.

"I pay attention. Nothing more than that."

"You make it sound like it's no big deal to pay attention when the sad fact is, most people don't. It takes a lot of energy to listen."

Again, truth.

I could keep going, I have more quotes and passages that I loved, but I'll stop now. Otherwise I may end up with half the book in this review! :)

My only complaint was that I felt like I was missing a great deal of their first attempt at a relationship, years before this story begins. Maybe this was included in a previous book in the series (none of which I have read) or maybe it was only meant to be hinted to during the course of this book. Either way, I guess I just wanted more time to explore what happened last time, to see how they were all in love with each other practically from the start of this book. Still, I felt that Dane did a really good job. After all, triads are never easy.

This is my second time reading Dane, and I will be coming back to try more of her books. If you want a super sexy triad romance with emotional substance as well, here you go!

4 STARS!
