[Pat's Review]: "One Week to Score"

One Week to Score by Kate Meader
Publisher: Entangled: Brazen (July 11, 2016)
Series: Tall, Dark, and Texan, 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint . . .

He’s the man she loves to hate . . .

Olivia Kane’s wedding day has just imploded spectacularly. Shots lined up at the bar? Bring it. Hot stranger on the hook? Come on down. What this party does not need is six feet and change of home-grown Texas cockiness in the form of her brother’s best friend, the man who broke her heart seven years ago.

She’s the woman he has to have . . .

Flynn Cross won’t stand by while Liv finds sensual solace in the arms of a stranger, not when his own hard-for-her body is more than up for the task. For one week, he’ll make her honeymoon-for-one a sizzling party for two.

Breaking the rules, one steamy night at a time . . .

But the taboo they’re breaking is only the beginning . . . and Flynn’s part in Liv’s wedding debacle could bring about their end.

Pat's Review:

If you're looking for a story that will make you laugh, has very hot sex, and some serious secrets, grab One Week to Score.

Olivia Kane (Livvie), event planner for the rich and famous, has just had an event implode. Her own wedding! Minutes before walking down the aisle she finds her husband-to-be in a very compromising position...with her Maid of Honor! Hours later she is in a bar, knocking back tequila shots and contemplating a one night stand; she has never had one, perfect timing.

Finn Cross has been in love with Olivia since they were kids. After being abused by his dad for years, he is taken in by the Kane family as one of their own. His best friend is Livvie's brother, Brody, so Livvie has been off limits for years. When Finn was in Afghanistan seven years ago, he communicated by email with Livvie. Jokes, keeping him up to date on the home front, and care packages occurred frequently, but suddenly Finn fell silent. It was like he fell off the face of the earth, and broke Livvie's heart in the process. Unfortunately he was the Maid of Honor's date for this debacle. A fact Livvie was not happy about since she didn't invite him! His comment to her when he found her in the bar was...."Hey Mz. Olivia Kane, you sure know how to throw a party."

Livvie's decision to go on her honeymoon alone made perfect sense to her. Except when Finn appears in the seat next to her. He has one week in Mexico to convince her he loves her, rock her world, and turn it into a happily ever after. But there are a few secrets he's keeping that could be a lot of danger for that.

This was a very fun book to read. Perfect for a summer afternoon on the beach, or anywhere.
