[Pat's Review]: "Southern Nights and Secrets"

Southern Nights and Secrets by Robin Covington
Publisher: Entangled: Indulgence (September 19, 2016)
Series: The Boys are Back in Town, 4
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Being a doctor is everything to me, but I’m not going to let bureaucrats tell me how to practice medicine. It’s about saving lives no matter what, screw them and their paperwork.

When the one woman I could never forget, Ginger Crawford, shows up as my boss all bets are off. The heat between us is tough to ignore but I have to if I want a future at this hospital. It isn’t easy. Every time we argue, I want her even more.

But I’ve got secrets she can never know, and she’s always going to be way too good for me. So it’s best if she hates me…at least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Pat's Review:

Beck (Beckett) Sutherland is finally doing what he loves: he's a trauma doctor in a busy ER, hoping to be named Team Leader to his staff. He grew up around crime, his father an abusive drug runner, and even Beck spent some time working the streets himself. But it's all behind him now. He's a gifted physician with a sixth sense for detecting abuse, and a reputation as a dare devil and having an amazing "bed side manner" with women. Suddenly there is a potential risk to his appointment to Team Leader. He sees the woman he has always loved and tried to forget. They met and fell in love in college......then he dumped her and slept with her roommate.

Virginia (Ginger) Crawford is the new Director of Operations for a busy Virginia Hospital. She has no idea that Beck is also there until an incident in the ER explodes, and he is at the center of it. He destroyed her heart, and time has not helped.

Ginger grew up in a home with a Navy SEAL father, endlessly deployed and an alcoholic mother. It was up to her to keep their home running and taking care of her sister. Seeing Beck pulls all the old feeling to the surface. Soon neither one of them can avoid the sexual draw. Both of their careers depend on their actions......

I have enjoyed every page of this series, a group of best friends considered "bad boys" finding the women who complete them. This novel can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend the full series.

4 STARS!
