My review went up yesterday. This was a quick, cute read. I liked it, but it didn't wow me. The premise was promising and a bit different. I'll probably try another from this author. 3 STARS

I enjoyed the first book (also listened to it on audio) but I absolutely loved this one! I loved Becker (Jake) and Chelsea, I loved the kids and the way they all interacted together. It was sexy as hell, and also fun (often in the form of sarcasm and snarky wit, which I'm all for). I have no real complaints about it; I do wish that we could have had Chelsea's POV throughout, but at the same time, I'm okay with it being purely Becker's POV because that meant it was all narrated by Sebastian York, who is a Voice God, I swear. My rating applies to both the story and the narration, a solid 4 1/2 STARS

-- Hold Me by Courtney Milan --

I've been dying for Maria's book since I read Trade Me last year (review). I even pre-ordered -- which you know is rare for me! -- and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Milan brings the emotions and angst again, and I loved it. The romance is both an enemies-to-lovers AND a friends-to-lovers (it's complicated -- h/hr knew each other IRL and online, but didn't know the two people were the same) and it's so well done. Sweet and romantic, but also fun and full of banter and love/hate fights. And sexy, though it's a slow burn (not complaining). I cannot say enough amazing things about this book. As a note: trans heroine of color and bi hero of color. Yes, yes, yes! 4 1/2 STARS
