Whatcha Reading? (74)

A new Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently (or just finished) reading and I will share my brief thoughts on books that I read during the previous week.

November 20th - 26th:

TBQ:

-- Managed by Kristen Callihan --

Oh Gabriel. British. A bit grumpy/cold. But under all that he's the one you want to cuddle up with and never let go. Great banter and tension here, it's a slow burn. Loved these two together, and once again Callihan delivers a sexy and fun read. I need the rest of this series ASAP. I know Jax's story will hurt... 4 1/2 Stars

“You should know, I can’t be a fling. Not with you. If you want me, you have to be all in.”

A frown knots his brows, and when he speaks, his voice is a rasp. “I’ve lived my whole life denying myself what I truly want. And yet I cannot turn from you. Haven’t you realized it yet? I am yours. I will always be yours, whether I touch you or not.”

-- The Hating Game by Sally Thorne -- [Audiobook, library]

I can't believe I waited so long to read this one. The hype was SOOOO right. This is, hands down, the best slow burn, enemies-to-lovers/office-romance ever. Fantastic banter throughout, really, really slow (and delicious) burn -- like, no sex until about 85% -- and overall fun writing. I had a blast with this one and I now want my own Josh. The narration was great as well (4 1/2 stars there) and this is easily in my Top 5 for 2016. I'll be buying a keeper copy to revisit again and again. 5 Stars
