Pat's Review:

If you're looking for a sweet, romantic story centered around the religious meaning of the holiday, this story will warm your heart.

Cole Martin is having his first Thanksgiving alone. His parents are on a well-deserved cruise, and the ranch hands all took the time to visit family. He was in charge for a few days by himself, with a storm coming, so he decided to stop at a grocery store to see what he could cook up for himself.

Jennifer Carleton was very new in town, after buying the local veterinarian practice. Her family lives in San Antonio, but this year, for various reasons, she is not going home for the holidays. Cole and Jennifer meet in the freezer section of the store, both contemplating frozen dinners. Jennifer has a coupon for two for one and offers to share. The sparkling cider is also two for one, so they decided to make it a dinner for two. Their dinner is fun, they laughed and talked and watched football. Both Jennifer and Cole are getting over broken hearts, so to have a friend for the holidays means a lot.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with Cole, and is happy to play along as a romantic interest to make his ex believe he’s over her. But soon they both realize they want more than play acting. The festivities before Christmas in this small town have been going on for a very long time and Jennifer is happy to be a part of it, especially with Cole.

A sweet contemporary love story for the holidays.
