[Musing Maddie's Review]: "Sex Love Repeat"

Sex Love Repeat by Alessandra Torre
Publisher: Alessandra Torre (November 23, 2013)
Genre: Contemporary Erotica

I love two men. I screw two men. I am in a relationship with them both, and they are both aware there is another. That is all they need to know, that is all I let them know. They don’t need to know a name; they don’t need to know anything but that they are not alone in my heart.

They have accepted the situation. Stewart, because his life is too busy for the sort of obligations that are required in a relationship. Paul, because he loves me too much to tell me no. And because my sexual appetite is such that one man has trouble keeping up.

So we exist, two parallel relationships, each running their own course, with no need for intersection or conflict. It works for us, for them, and for me. I don’t expect it to be a long-term situation. I know there is an expiration date on the easy perfection of our lives.

I should have paid more attention, should have looked around and noticed the woman who watched it all. She sat in the background and waited, tried to figure me out. Saw my two relationships, the love between us, and the moment that it all fell apart.

She hates me.
I don’t even know she exists.
She loves them. I love them.
And they love me.

EVERYTHING else hangs in the balance.

My Review:

When you start Sex Love Repeat, you might wonder why on earth I've rated this so high. You might find yourself wondering how you're going to like the heroine, Maddison. Could there be greater character development to be revealed to enable you to love a self-professed sex addict? Will you be able to comprehend her drive and ostensibly selfish choices?

Well, I encourage you to read on and give this book the chance it unashamedly deserves.

If you like twisty, unexpected plot, a story told in first person with multiple POVs, hot/sizzling/scintillating sex scenes, this one has all that. Did I mention it was hot? Torre had proven to me in her Innocence series, that yes, she could write passionate sex scenes. So, I was ready to sit back and be wowed. Again.

What I most adored, and to be honest, was actually floored by, was her innovation and ability to write such different characters, with refreshingly diverse stories, that kept me riveted, captivated and compelled to finish. Every time. Every book. That is a rare treat. This author is one to watch.

Sex Love Repeat definitely ticked many boxes for me. Enjoy the fantasy. Enjoy the wicked delights. Enjoy Alessandre Torre. A sweet angel with wings dipped in just the right amount of dark to create stellar and somewhat unorthodox work repeatedly.

5 STARS!

That's funny, I read a book by her some time ago and did not like it at all, but so many people write wonderful reviews of her books, I'll have to give her another try !
