Here's my candidate for the week:

Soul Scorched by Donna Grant
Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks (June 30, 2015)
Series: Dark Kings, 6
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Darcy was floating on a cloud of pure passion. Everywhere he touched, Warrick was leaving a mark on her, forever changing her. She could feel it through her skin and muscle, through bone and into her soul.It was as if he was changing her. And she welcomed it…

HER POWER IS A BLESSING
Born on the Isle of Skye, Darcy is a beautiful woman of many gifts. Fortune-telling is her forte, and she remains the only Druid who could unlock the secrets—and desires—of a Dragon King. His name is Warrick. And now that Darcy’s seen into his dragon heart, nothing will ever be the same…

HIS PASSION IS A CURSE
Warrick never intended to put Darcy in harm’s way. But ever since she revealed a shocking truth, Darcy has been hunted by the Dark Fae, who want to use her powers for their own evil purposes. Now it’s up to Warrick to do whatever it takes to keep the woman who sets his soul on fire safe. But protecting Darcy means putting himself—and his entire race—in jeopardy. Is his desperate longing for one woman worth the risk of losing everything…for eternity?

Why?

Grant's covers are ALWAYS lust-worthy! :D

I'm hypnotized by the colors and the swirls . . . and the chest, of course. :D

Pat's Pick

Hard to Come By by Laura Kaye
Publisher: Avon (November 25, 2014)
Series: Hard Ink, 3
Genre: Romantic Suspense

Caught between desire and loyalty…

Derek DiMarzio would do anything for the members of his disgraced Special Forces team—sacrifice his body, help a former teammate with a covert operation to restore their honor, and even go behind enemy lines. He just never expected to want the beautiful woman he found there.

When a sexy stranger asks questions about her brother, Emilie Garza is torn between loyalty to the brother she once idolized and fear of the war-changed man he's become. Derek’s easy smile and quiet strength tempt Emilie to open up, igniting the desire between them and leading Derek to crave a woman he shouldn’t trust.

As the team’s investigation reveals how powerful their enemies are, Derek and Emilie must prove where their loyalties lie before hearts are broken and lives are lost. Because love is too hard to come by to let slip away…

  2. Yes, Pat loved Hard to Come By, and I can't wait to read it myself! But I still need to read #2, it's on my Kindle. :)

I think I've only read one of Grants, when she first started writing, but all her other books are on my list for the covers alone! :D

  6. I love the wispy green dragon over the b&w shadowed cover, but the stark boldness of the second one is delicious too.

  7. Same here; I've read one of her books, but that was a very early novel 5+ years ago? :)

  8. Yes, exactly why I loved Grants. And really, Kaye's covers are also L4C worthy every time, too!
