Kame's Review:

Raina is not sure why the Saints baseball team would want cheerleaders, but she isn't going to complain because the nice paycheck will help her with nest egg. She must reminder the ladies the players are off limits; and Raina needs to remind herself so is one of the sexy owners of the team.

“Did you want to be a ballerina?”

“For a while, But like I said, wrong body type.”

Mal smiled at her over his own glass. There was something wicked about that smile. “It looks pretty good to me.”

She shot him a look.

“What? You left that opening a mile wide.”

“I thought baseball players were meant to know when not to swing at something.”

“Only if you always want to play it safe.”

Mal and Raina have an immediate sizzle; but both have had relationships with challenges in the past and neither think it is the right time to start up with someone. Mal takes security seriously; especially when Raina and her team are threatened. The plot revolving around the threat is not terribly suspenseful so readers who prefer mild tension will still enjoy this book.

I was surprised this book centered on a baseball team. I enjoyed the characters - they had some great dialog. Even though it is a few books into a series I was not lost.

Glad you enjoyed it, Kame! I did read the first book, but struggled b/c I didn't like the heroine. Usually that doesn't stop me from picking up the second book, but it was just one of those things of having many other books on the pile to distract me. I confess that out of the three guys, Mal was the one that interested me most.
