[Spotlight]: "Clouded Hell" + Playlist

WELCOME TO THE BLOG, J.R.! :)

When not staying up all night writing, J.R. Gray can be found at the gym where it's half assumed he is a permanent resident to fulfill his self-inflicted masochism. A dominant and a pilot, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. He frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns and conversations, to jot down notes or plot bunnies. Commas are the bane of his existence even though it's been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder. If Gray wasn't writing…well, that's not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave, insanity or both. The idea of haunting has always appealed to him. J.R. Gray is genderqueer and prefers he/him pronouns.

Where to Find J.R.:

Clouded Hell by J.R. Gray
Publication Date; March 23rd, 2016
Genre: M/M Romance

I survive on avoidance. Physical pain to avoid the mental. Disposable flesh to avoid relationships. Work to avoid attachment.

My club became my empire of avoidance. Inside the ring millions are won and lost. The fight is confined to breaths, actions and reactions, fists and pain. Rules don’t exist. Only my opponent exists.

I’d been avoiding my needs for far too long when Remi stumbles into the Inferno and I’m hungry. The promise of a submissive with no attachment is far too tempting. I can’t resist him.

He was only supposed to be a distraction, but I know I'll never get over him. There isn't a chance in this clouded hell.

Clouded Hell Playlist:

Music was oxygen for this book. It wasn’t an easy book to write. Being as emotional as it was, I often listened to songs on repeat to set the tone. I’ve always found the feeling of a song affects my entire book. These are the songs that stuck with me while writing Clouded Hell. The lyrics in some of these songs, tie in to some pivotal scenes throughout the book, like they spoke to Remi and Dante.

Here are a couple of my favorites:
Shots by Imagine Dragon
I'm sorry for everything
Oh, everything I've done
From the second that I was born it seems I had a loaded gun
And then I shot, shot, shot a hole through everything I loved.

Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?

Alone Together by Fall Out Boy
I don't know where you're going,
But do you got room for one more troubled soul?
I don't know where I'm going,
But I don't think I'm coming home.

Do I wanna know by Arctic Monkeys
Ever thought of calling when you've had a few?
'Cause I always do
Maybe I'm too busy being yours to fall for somebody new
