Looooved Ryan and Josiah's book. I especially loved Ryan giving Josiah orders in the bedroom. ;) My review will go up next Monday and this will be included in the September Royal Picks post! 4 1/2 Stars

Liked it well enough, but truly an average read for me. Nothing bad, just enjoyable at the time, though I wouldn't take the time to reread it. Third book I've read from James, I loved book 1 the most.
Had a hard time reconciling the very responsible 24 year old Kyle who stepped in to take over shit when his mom died (and his dad spiraled into depression) with the 33 year old immature "Twitter terrorist" . . .who then turns back into a responsible man after being released. IDK, his character arc just didn't exactly make sense to me, I guess?
Also, nothing I hate more than when the heroine (or hero for that matter) ho-hums around telling the ex that no, she does not want to get back together. Especially when she is seeing someone else. Yes, that happened here and it added some conflict/drama late in the book that wasn't necessary, though it was, thankfully, brief.
In short: Didn't hate it, liked it at the time, but it didn't wow me. 3 Stars
Narration was pretty good, I'd say 3.5 stars.

You all know I love Arthur's books. But this one . . . this one just didn't quite work for me. There seemed to be too many (fairly major) external conflicts in it, and they didn't all flow smoothly for me. I'm going to try and put up a mini review next week. Between 2 1/2 and 3 Stars
