Why?
I'm a sucker for anything Scottish, remember? :) I prefer a Scottish hero, for obvious reasons, but I also love having Scottish heroines in my novels---they're always spunky and full of fire! :D
I'm not sure what it is with this cover, but when I saw it a few weeks ago, I instantly fell in love! Perhaps it's the colors or the fabric of her tartan/gown there. Doesn't matter--love!
I haven't read book 1 in this series, but I've been told I need to because it was sooo good. It's on my list, as is this one!

Hey There! Great choice===The red is on fire! Here is my L4C this week: http://csmaxwell.blogspot.com/2012/10/lusting-for-covers-down-for-count-by.html Sorry I'm late playing--back/neck/shoulder still giving me some trouble and we had 2 showings this weekend for our house. UGH! Looking forward to Monday now...
Oh yes, I think it's against some great Natural Law for ANY Scottish man to NOT be a yummy alpha male. :D And I'm okay with that... :D
Yes, it's been a few years since I've read Cathy's books, but they were some of my first favorites in historical--definitely check them out! :)
Enjoy!
