Pat's Review:

We first meet Kat Cherish, high school principal, chained to a huge tree she has named Harvey.  She is protecting the tree and surrounding land from loggers.  She is having second thoughts when she finds out one of her students vandalized one of the logging trucks.  She negotiates a deal, is rescued by her former boyfriend Evan Jerry and in the process loses her job. It seems the vandal is the school board presidents son, and he was arrested. This is just the beginning of a very bad day.

The story in this book moved so fast with catastrophes, misunderstandings, lies, and secrets, I had to put it down to clear my head. It's also hard to review without giving spoilers.  Kat's sister Lacey has a secret she's keeping, and acting like a spoiled brat most of the time.  Evan and Kat still love each other, but neither wants to admit it, her best friend Peg is getting married, Evan's Mom is showing symptoms of dementia, and Kat has a secret she has been keeping since she was sixteen.  Revealing it will ease her conscious, but chances are it will disrupt a lot of lives.

I enjoyed this story, it was just a little overwhelming at times.  There is a lot of laughs mixed in, and romance, but I felt the need to shake a few people as I went along.  If your looking for a crazy, action packed novel with laughter, this is the one.
