After her brother and his wife go missing and are presumed dead, Lauren Peters plans to raise their infant daughter. Her brother's will, however, stipulates that baby Callie can only be raised by a married couple. Lauren’s as single as they come.

Lauren knows that Mack is all about business, including their marriage of convenience. But her unexpected feelings for him have her turned upside down. With passion sizzling between them, can Mack keep Lauren from stealing his heart…and becoming his wife for real?

Kame's Review:

Lauren and Mack are faced with a challenge when Callie's parents are missing and they are named her guardians. The will stipulates one of them must be married to be her guardian or she will be sent to foster care.

I liked the concept of each character. Lauren was fantastic as a daycare owner and Mack was very believable as a business man. I even believed their chemistry and each have questions if their marriage could ever be real. The sexy scenes were varied and well sexy. The baggage they each brought to the plot was plausible, however in my opinion it was relied on too heavily for drama to the plot - and therefore started to annoy me. If you took the repeated questioning of motivation out it would shorten the book but make a very nice quick read novella.

3 1/2 - 4 STARS!

Thanks for the review, Kame! :) Sometimes drama can become too much in a romance, I agree. Still, it sounds like a quick read!

Have you read a romance where the drama was too much? Have you read Shoshanna Evers before?

Enjoy!
