How can she resist the cowboy's smile when it promises so much pleasure?
Phillip Beaumont likes his drinks strong and his women easy. So why is he flirting with his new horse trainer, Jo Spears, who challenges him at every turn? Phillip wants nothing but the chase…until the look in Jo's haunted hazel eyes makes him yearn for more….
Sure, Jo's boss is as jaded and stubborn as Sun, the multimillion-dollar stallion she was hired to train. But it isn't long before she starts spending days and nights with the sexy cowboy. Maybe Sun isn't the only male on the Beaumont ranch worth saving!

Kame's Review:
It took a while but Jo has a good start at putting the pieces of her life back together. She has simple rules and she intends to follow them. She is Phillip's last hope. His brother was mad when he spent seven million dollars on a rare horse; imagine how mad he would be if no one can ever ride the horse.
Jo is a fantastic character who does not reveal her whole self to the reader until near the end of the book. She has so many layers and she is determined to make a better life for herself and I was cheering for her the whole way. Phillip seemed like such the playboy until he truly let Jo see his love for the horses. He seemed like he was playing the role dictated to him by his family so that he could embrace his passion; the horses. Their romance was destined as they really share so much. Their childhoods were vastly different but their struggles were similar.
The plot was simple, but they normally are with this type of book. I think the conflict was very appropriate and I would have done the same thing Jo did. I wish we saw more of Phillip's journey after the conflict to his finding Jo again.
There was minimal mentions and scenes with Phillip’s family. I hope in the next book (Matthew) we see more of Chadwick and Phillip.
