A new year, new goals. And this year I'm participating in FitReaders to help get in shape.

January 23rd - 29th:
- I was only able to get two extra walks in this week, but still did the two daily dog walks.
- I realized mid-week that all this time, my FitBit has not be accurately measuring my distance on the dog walks. The reason, I believe, is that I do not swing my hands as much while trying to wrangle the dog leashes, and the lack of hand movement, even while walking, leads to the monitor not counting as many steps. I know for a fact that the routes I take for the dog walks each day are 1.47 and 2.6 miles; but my FitBit was only giving me 1.17 miles and 2 miles, respectively! Now that I've realized this error, I've started manually entering the other miles, which has brought up my steps and miles to what they SHOULD be each day.
- Oops. Another week that I did not do the crunches/squats that I had planned. Next week, I will start back to doing them, one way or another!
- Total steps for the week: 74,894
- Total miles for the week: 33.14
- Weight: Down 0.3 pound
If you use FitBit, you can find me HERE. Let's make 2015 our year to get fit! :)
Enjoy!

That's good that you caught the inaccurate measurements. Wonderful job on the steps this week!!!
Thanks, Grace! :) I'm thrilled that I'm slowly bringing my daily average up (even without taking into account the error with FitBit).
That's a bummer about inaccurate measuring, but glad you caught it. Still, a very impressive week! Great job!!
;) Thanks, Jen! Hope you have a lovely weekend (well, what's left of it now . . . . man, I'm so behind on my weekend!)
Great week! I end up taking my dogs on at least 2 walks/day, but with all the snow, the walks have been much shorter. One dog likes the snow and the other doesn't! Am counting down the days until spring!!!
My dogs guarantee that I get in at least a mile everyday. Good luck getting in your crunches and squats next week!

Me, too! It's been an odd winter this year; not very much snow, but I'm sure more will hit before spring shows it pretty face. :D
Gotta love our dogs for that alone, right? :) And thanks, Karen!
