Genre: Paranormal Romance

A paranormal category romance from Entangled's Covet imprint...

It might be love…but will they survive the night?

The ghosts of her family's estate on the coast of Maine never troubled Ava Trumble. When she finally inherits the historic mansion, however, there's a small string attached: Ava has exactly one year to solve a 200-year-old mystery of a missing girl, or lose her family's home...

The lead investigator for paranormal TV show Phantoms, Jackson Granger, is prepared for any metaphysical encounter—until now. It's not just the uncanny sense of "coming home" or even his reaction to the fiery redhead who seems to consume his every waking thought. No, it's that the ghosts are using Jackson and Ava's attraction to play out a centuries-old tragedy. Heartbreak. Loss. Overwhelming passion. Now Jackson and Ava must determine if they're sharing something real...or if they've been possessed by a love that never died.

Pat's Review:
This novel is an entertaining ghost story, complete with slamming doors and moving objects and a long ago lost love.

Ava Trumble has exciting plans for Trumble Mansion in Kerrick, Maine. Her Aunt Lois had recently passed away, leaving the mansion to Ava with an almost impossible stipulation. The mansion has long been considered haunted, and in order to keep the house, she needs to successfully investigate the fate of a young woman who disappeared in this house around the American Revolution. She wants to make the house into a B & B, so discovering the reason for the haunting is important to Ava also, but how?  Most people including her relatives and friends won't step foot in the house. She enlists the crew of a popular TV show called Phantoms. They agree to investigate and try to discover it's secrets.

Jackson Granger is the lead investigator for Phantoms. The Trumble mansion is fascinating to him, not just for it's ghostly history; he has a degree in architecture and the house is very interesting. Not to mention it's owner.....

Ava meets Jackson and his crew and explains it's story, mystery and what she must discover. The shows Psychic explores and tells them there is an overwhelming feeling of sadness and anger coming from the house. On their first visit, it supplies clues. When Jackson admits he is a very distant relative to the Kerrick's all the bedroom doors on the second level slam, and no one is up there. Just the first of many displays from the ghostly residents.

Ava and Jackson feel an immediate connection. Is it attraction or forces in the house?  The feelings get stronger and Jackson and Ava know they are real, but what do they do about them?  The story is fun, very enjoyable, though a bit creepy at times. It reveals a very old heartbreaking love story, and the excitement of a new one. A very enjoyable read.
