[Kame's Review]: "The SEAL's Miracle Baby"

The SEAL's Miracle Baby by Laura Marie Altom
Publisher: Harlequin (June 2, 2015)
Series: Cowboy SEALs, 1
Genre: Contemporary Romance

SHE BROKE HIS HEART

Jessie Long knew she made the right decision years ago. Grady Matthews wanted a ranch and a home full of kids, and she couldn't give him that. So she cut him loose for his own good. They went their separate ways—Grady left to join the Navy and Jessie stayed home.

Now a deadly twister has flattened their hometown, and it's brought them back together—and back to square one. The passion's still there, and the easy understanding. Even the way they care for the orphaned baby found in the aftermath just seems to fit. For Grady, that's enough. He's sure they can make a life together. But for Jessie, the secret that tore them apart is still hiding under the surface. And she can't face losing Grady a second time.

Kame's Review:

Every once and a while I like a good second chance romance book and Harlequin is a good source of them.

Jessie and Grady were young but planned on a full life together. A life full of children and a busy ranch; until the day Jessie told Grady she didn't love him. Now a natural disaster has brought them back together.

Grady is my favorite kind of character, a strong military guy who is also a cowboy. I could read about Grady all day long. I commend him on his patience as Jessie's constant harping on the obstacles they faced just got to me. She was tunnel focused and negative much of the story and for me it sort of bogged down the romantic part of this book.

So if that was the case - why did I rate it so high, because I truly enjoyed the setting and I am intrigued by the idea of more books around Grady and his friends. I intend on being on the lookout for the next installment.

If you like an easy read that won't tear your heart out and make you cry every page, or embarrass you about all the steamy scenes this is the book for you!
