Pat's Review:

This first book in the Tough Justice Series introduces us to Lara Grant FBI agent. She is recently back on the job after working undercover for two years in a dangerous crime family, and bringing them to justice. She then spent a year in a safe house trying to get back to the real world. She's more than ready!  Her first assignment is with a new unit, Crime Management. Before she can even meet them, she gets called to the scene of a suicide jumper. She is successful in talking him down, but he is shot dead right in front of her.

Nick Delano is Lara's new partner. He's gorgeous, has his own secrets and a good reputation as a qualified agent. A murder and unexplained coincidences seem to point to Lara's undercover work. Is the crime boss getting revenge from prison?  Nick assures Lara he has her back, but is a little too protective at times.

A mysterious gift to Lara terrifies her and proves even her darkest secrets are being revealed.

I will admit I am not a huge fan of serials, but this first story totally captivated me. My plan was to read this one, review it, and move on. On to Tough Justice 2: Watched by Tyler Anne Snell. It appears all of the stories release at the same time, which is great, my only complaint is having to pay for each one. The first in the series totally pulls you in.

4 STARS!

Thanks for the review, Pat! :) It appears that this one is currently FREE, so if you're interested in trying it, grab it now!

I know our main focus is. and always will be, romance but. I know many of us do venture outside the romance genre on occasion.

Do you read many thrillers or mysteries? Are you a fan of serials?

Enjoy!
