A new Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently (or just finished) reading and I will share my brief thoughts on books that I read during the previous week.
September 11th - 17th:
TBQ:
-- Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean -- [Audiobook, Library]
Finally finished the series! Oh, how I loved getting Chase's story. :) Georgiana was such a fun, witty and strong heroine, and I loved her. Duncan was fantastic and the perfect match for her. Obviously MacLean's writing was amazing as always and she closed this series nicely. 4 Stars
Narration: Justine Eyre did a truly amazing narration, I adored her voice, which was just lovely to listen to and definitely held my attention, while also adding to the story, too. Will definitely be looking for more books narrated by her. Between 4 and 4 1/2 stars for.

-- Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci --
This was really fun to read. The book starts out talking about penises. Avery walked in on her husband screwing his secretary, and from there it turns into a discussion on “penis gifts” with her mother-in-law. It definitely had me chuckling.
Rome is a lovely backdrop to the story, and I very much enjoyed following Avery around the city, especially as she rediscovered herself.
There are some fun moments, some sweet scenes, a few hot ones – everything you could want. But I will point out, this one isn’t particularly steamy. Only their first scene is shown, and even then it’s not very explicit. After that, every other scene is a fade to black. Was I a bit disappointed by this? Sure, but otherwise I was having a good time reading, so I didn’t mind too much.
I didn’t love the Simone drama at the very end, and rolled my eyes like crazy around that part. However, I thought Avery’s divorce was handled well, so at least there wasn’t any eye-rolling drama from all that.
I thought the ending felt a bit rushed, and I kept trying to swipe forward thinking it wasn’t over yet.
All in all, a charming and fun second-chance romance set in Rome – what’s not to love? 4 Stars
-- Overexposed by Megan Erickson --
I love this entire series, and Levi and Thad's story was no different! I'll have a review up Monday. 4 1/2 Stars
-- Overruled by Emma Chase -- [Audiobook, Library]
This was my first time reading Chase but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed this one. I will admit, I did want to smack Stanton multiple times as he so blindly fought to keep Jenny because of their history, even though he clearly had feelings for Sofia. But even as he was doing all this, there was just something about his character and Chase's writing that worked and didn't make me so mad that I wanted to throw the book. If that makes any sense at all! I loved that Sofia and Stanton had sparks and banter going through the book. There were some fun moments -- like the horse riding scene, which was meant to sound like it was . .. a different kind of riding. Overall, really loved the story and characters and will be continuing the series. 4 Stars
Narration: Since it's alternating POV (more from Stanton's POV though), it's also alternating narrators: Charlotte Penfield and Jason Carpenter. I liked Jason well enough and don't have any complaints. But Charlotte's narrating was not as smooth and sometimes pulled me out of the story. It wasn't a consistent issue, but I'd notice a lot of random pauses and breaks in sentences where they didn't belong, which made for a bit more of a choppy listen. Overall, I'd give 3 1/2 Stars for the narration. I'd still listen to both of them again.
