A new Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently (or just finished) reading and I will share my brief thoughts on books that I read during the previous week.

All I Want Is You by Candace Havens

Releases April 17th
Rating = 3 Stars

Save the Date by Annabeth Albert + Wendy Qualls
Kindle | NOOK | Kobo Goodreads |
- Military hero (a bit older) -- Hunter
- Younger, nerdy hero -- Randall
- He's an astrophysicist, works with NASA
- Also a virgin
- The two meet at a gay bar, go back to Hunter's hotel for a hook up; they fall asleep after and Randall sneaks out early the next morning
- Turns out that's not going to be the last they see of each other -- Hunter is the best man for Randall's sister's wedding, while Randall is her man of honor
- They must pretend like they're just acquaintances in public, but in private . . . oh, they're so much more than that.
- A quick, sweet read with Albert's usual heat
- Though I guess it's kind of hard to say what part was written by which author, huh? Regardless, I could definitely see Albert's writing style here, which you know I already love
- I'll have to keep an eye out for more from Wendy
Oh, and did I mention it's FREE?!
Royal Affair by Marquita Valentine
Kindle | NOOK | Kobo Goodreads |
Releases April 18th
Rating = 4 1/2 Stars
April Royal Pick
- Socially anxious Princess
- Ruthless journalist who has already caused problems for her family with a previous story
- She wants an affair from him -- he wants her secrets
- Hot. As. Hell.
- Already a fan of Marquita's writing, but it's been a while and it was so lovely to return to it
- Loved these two, loved the story
- I'm a sucker for GOOD royalty romances
- Remember the other Royal Affair I read that was complete shit? Yeah, this one is the OPPOSITE.
- Very much looking forward to the rest of the series -- need to go back to book 1 while waiting for 3 and 4 later this year!
My review will be up Monday!

How to Bang a Billionaire by Alexis Hall
Kindle | NOOK | Kobo Goodreads |
Releases 4/16
Rating = 4 Stars
- Set in England (like all of Hall's books)
- 1st POV from Arden only
- Arden is younger, just finishing up Oxford
- Caspian is older (don't think we ever know an exact year, but maybe early 30s?)
- Also the third richest man in the UK
- And has soooo much baggage, none of which we found out about here but we see how it's affected him
- Doesn't do relationships
- Has hangups about his desire for control and BDSM fun
- This is book 1 of 3 covering these two. It does NOT end in a cliffhanger (they're together when the last page ends) but I have heard that there's a cliffhanger between 2 and 3, both out later this summer/fall

Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh
Kindle | NOOK | Kobo Audio Goodreads |
Narrators = Angela Dawe
Narration rating = 4 Stars
Rating = Between 4 and 4 1/2 Stars
- Riaz and Adria
- Riaz found his mate years ago -- but she's happily in love/married to another
- He's been living with the pain of being cut off from his mate, won't take any other lovers.... Until he can't resist Adria any longer
- Their interactions start out with a "I hate you but I can't stop being attracted to you, fuck!" and slowly work towards friends/lovers and, of course, to a true couple by the end
- I actually liked that this story showed us a bit of what it's like when the mate is not the person the shifter ends up with or bonds with
- I had BRIEF mixed feelings on this, though ultimately I loved it, like the rest of the series
- Felt like Riaz and Adria's romance took a backseat a bit too often to revisiting other couples
- Hence my mixed feelings -- I loved seeing everyone else because I do love this series and cast of characters so much! BUT, I also expect a romance about Couple A to be, first and foremost, about Couple A.
- I had these feelings more towards the start of the book; as their relationship progressed, it didn't bother me as much
- Once their relationship picked up, I was fine with the switch between couples
- A note on the narration: I did notice, more so in this audiobook than any of the others in the series, that Dawe would give a TON of awkward pauses -- to the point that I kept thinking "Did we reach the end of a chapter? Did my phone die-- Oh, nope, there it is (story continues)"
- These were not pauses between scenes or chapters, but rather right in the middle of a scene or page. I'm not sure if the editing wasn't as good on this audio or what was going on
- It didn't ruin the book for me, but I definitely noticed it because it happened a few dozens times, at least.
Favorite quote:
“Heart of my heart, that’s who you are, Adria Morgan. Chosen and forever.” Picking her hand off his cheek, he pressed a lingering kiss to the palm before placing it over the strong, steady rhythm of that very organ. “Wolf and man, you own every part of me.”
