Here's my candidate for the week:

The Last Gentleman Standing by Jane Ashford
Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca (September 5, 2017)
Genre: Historical Romance

A fortune hunter's dream...

Miss Elisabeth Elham is an unlikely heiress. She never knew the curmudgeonly uncle who died suddenly and left her a fortune. She's proud, outspoken and independent―a definite challenge for London's fortune hunting suitors.

As various determined gentlemen vie for her attention at balls, routs, picnics and parties, Elisabeth finds herself embroiled with a charming rake, a mysterious nabob, and an elegant neighbor. This would all be great fun, if only she wasn't so fascinated by the one man in London who's not trying to woo her...

Originally titled Bluestocking, this story has been unavailable for over 25 years.

I can't even fully explain it but this cover is gorgeous. I can't stop looking at it. The dress. Her pose and expression. Hell, even the fonts are great!

Pat's Pick:

Physical Forces by D.D. Ayres
Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks (May 30, 2017)
Series: K-9 Rescue, 6
Genre: Romantic Suspense

LOVE TO THE RESCUE

Macayla Burkett is no ordinary private eye. She’s a pet detective, dedicated to tracking down missing dogs and cats. When two famous racing greyhounds disappear and turn up dead, Macayla finds herself in the midst of a much more serious case. And when the thieves target her and threaten her life, she realizes she’s in grave danger—until a ridiculously handsome stranger enters the picture …

Oliver Kelly may look like a male stripper, but his muscles aren’t just for show. The gorgeous Australian is co-owner of a K-9 Search and Rescue service dedicated to saving those in danger. When he and his K-9 partner, an Australian shepherd named Jackeroo, rescue the fiery detective from trouble, the sparks begin to fly. And when they join forces to stop a widespread case of animal theft, it unleashes a torrent of passion that’s impossible to tame…
