1st POV, Kate only
NOTE: I said "Magic Burns" in the podcast, which is a later book. Oops!
I liked it, especially Kate's snark and attitude. I'm curious about how the romance will eventually unfold (non in this one). Definitely more of a gruesome/gritty UF. Was left with questions, but I knew this going in. I'll continue the series. Narrator: Good, no complaints about her performance.
October 31st

Dual 1st POV
Scientist heroine + hero trying to recruit her for the private sector. He's back in town to take care of his injured father. Cute, sweet, and very enjoyable -- even if it didn't leave me with a lot to say. Great debut, definitely looking forward to her two friends' stories.

Not my favorite, but not bad; basically enjoyable enough at the time but not memorable for me in the long run. I did have some issues with a few throwaway comments though.

Limited 3rd POV, Holden only
I liked this one, and Holden and Six's chemistry was great (duh, it's Hassell!). Definitely need to read this series in order. This series isn't my favorite from Hassell, but I still like it and will be reading 3 soon to finish it off.
