TW: Rape and abuse at the hands of her ex

Emotionally intense, but I loved it. I especially loved how Uma took control of her body and herself again by means of her sexuality and sexual agency. That was so empowering and hot, especially seeing her dominate Ivan. I do wish therapy had been part of her HEA and I thought his POV was really weak, didn't give us much about him at all.

TW: Cancer in one story

I'm going to be honest here, overall this is my least favorite in this anthology series.

I absolutely adored O'Keefe's novella, which was fucking perfect, really.

Did I hate any of these stories? No! In fact, for the most part I liked these stories (and again, looooooved Molly's!). But it took me a bit to work through this anthology, and it's not even that long, especially compared to books 1 and 2! I felt like these stories were not quite as well developed and planned out as many of the previous novellas in the Rogue collections.

Both heroes are bi AND POC [black and Latino]. One is a football player.

First off, I will never stop staring at that cover. NEVER.

Second, the story is just as amazing as the cover. It's sweet and fun and sexy and fairly low on the angst and it was just a damn treat to read from start to finish!

Here's the thing, I have a lot of mixed thoughts on this book.

There were scenes that I laughed at or sighed over or just plain enjoyed.

And I am a fucking sucker for an Irish hero, so there's that.

But the whole white hero is an illegal immigrant and needs to find a way to stay in the country, the heroine's privilege when it comes to getting jobs in the city, how whitewashed (and cishet-washed) this NYC is)? NOPE.

The narrator also had an annoying habit at times of slipping a partial Irish accent in, randomly . . . WHEN IT WAS NOT THE HERO.

There were some fun moments, but I wasn't in love with this book, or their romance, and I was disappointed by the sex.
