Pat's Review: Vow of Honor

Vow of Honor by Emma Renshaw
Publisher: Emma Renshaw (November 28th, 2018)
Series: Vow, 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance w/ Suspense

Dual 1st POV

I can’t stand Tatum from the second she walks into the room. Everything about her puts me on edge—from her small delicate curves to the smile that she refuses to lose.

There’s nothing she loves more than to piss me off. She’s infused herself in every part of my life, taking away the silence I crave. I’d walk away if I could. If I hadn’t been shot. If I didn’t need physical therapy. If I could resist her.

I only kiss her to shut her up. I didn’t expect it to turn into the hottest moment of my life with our clothes scattered on the floor. The one-time thing turns into something neither of us expects.

When my guard drops and secrets are revealed, I’ll do anything to protect Tate. We have enemies lurking around every corner.

Will my vow of honor cost me the one thing I can’t live without?

Pat's Review:

Ms. Renshaw is a new author for me, and I’m so glad I found her! This third book in her Vow series can be read as a stand alone, but immediately after finishing it, I went back and got the first two.

James is receiving PT for a gunshot wound in his shoulder. He is not happy with his therapist, and feels he is making no progress. He wants someone else. When Tatum walks in the room she immediately “sets him on edge.” She’s too pretty, perky and a bit feisty.

Tatum, known as Tate takes on this new client, James. he is huge, snarky and speaks in monosyllables, but she does her best to set him in his place and work him hard. They banter, argue, decide to try and be friends. She has had a recent break up with a guy she thought was the love of her life, but proved he was a snake. Not ready to jump into anything they eventually agree to be friends. It quickly becomes clear they are way more than friends. But before they can explore that too much, James mysterious past rears it’s ugly head.

The story is intriguing, sexy, and has great suspense. Friends that are family, loyalty, and protection are a big part of the lives of these characters. If you like sexy, contemporary suspense, you’ll love this book.

4 STARS!
