Logan Stone has recently been hired by Sutton Capital after he was medically discharged from the SEAL's. He is recovering from debilitating injuries, panic attacks and nightmares from a very bad last op. He is slowly pushing himself to be "normal" but it's a hard road. "Broken body and broken mind. Two things he didn't want to share with anyone."
Samantha Page is a genius hacker, a klutz and has a habit of speaking her thoughts out loud. At one time she worked with the FBI to free a number of women being held by a crazed trafficker. The criminal disappeared after she drained all his funds and froze his accounts.
She has been attracted to Logan since seeing him at her best friend's wedding. Once she knew he was going to be hired, she researched PTSD and was doing her best to make him comfortable. After a series of random incidents including breaking into her gym locker, the team finds listening devices in her purse and sweater. Logan then goes into warrior mode. Meanwhile, for Logan an old enemy is searching for members of his former SEAL team for vengeance. Logan is their number one enemy. Who is doing this, the former criminal or the old enemy? Things escalate quickly and Sam and Logan are in danger for their lives. They are also falling in love.
Humor, romance and danger mix to make this a very enjoyable read. I have not read the first two books in the series, but plan on doing that soon. This can be read as a stand alone novel.
