Pat's Review:

This novella sizzles with heat from the first page, then plunges you into a dangerous hostage situation that keeps you on the edge of your seat while reading it.

Dain Bannon is former military, big and scary, and now a Client Security Specialist at JCL Security in Atlanta. He has been married for ten years to the love of his life, Livie (Olivia) Bannon. His job is dangerous but satisfying and he never dreamed he would be so happy settling down. He would die to protect Livie.

Heading to work at a downtown financial institution, Livie makes a quick stop for a meeting, which has left her on cloud nine. Arriving at her office she is shocked at the quiet and absence of people. Searching further she trips over a dead body -- her boss's dead body. She hears shouting and heads for a safe place to hide. The break room that has a kitchen......and hopefully weapons. She phones a quick message to Dain, as she knows he will come for her, and then dials 911. How long can she safely hide?  Dain has taught her skills she never thought she would ever use but can she kill a man to save herself?

This very suspenseful novella can be read as a standalone, but the previous books in the series are also very entertaining. The chemistry between Dain and Livie smolders and leaves you wanting more of their story. Very enjoyable read.
