HE CAN TAKE THE HEAT.

Hot, hard-bodied Sixten Rapp is a former SEAL who’s raring to begin his brand-new civilian life. He and his Navy “brothers” start a security firm that offers the kind of services only a team of military-trained professionals can provide. But nothing prepared Six for his new client: an innocent woman on a mission to improve thousands of lives. . . unless someone takes hers first.

CAN SHE HANDLE THE FLAMES?

Dr. Louisa North knows time is against her as she tries to create a “miracle” medical treatment for a disease with no known cure, until she creates a sample so powerful that the wrong people want to use it as a chemical weapon. At first, Six is unwilling to accept Louisa as his client. But soon he realizes that the danger is real and that there’s much more to this plain-Jane scientist…including a burning passion between them that neither of them can resist. And now that an enemy is on Louisa’s trail, Six will do whatever it takes to protect her—or die trying.

Pat's Review:

In her new action packed series, Ms. Cole introduces us to the men of Eagle Security. All former SEALs, a band of Brothers who left the military behind but want to continue their role of protectors and honorable men. Sexton Rapp known as Six, has just retired and is looking forward to his new job with Eagle. They're hoping to provide high-end, discreet security for the rich and famous.

Louisa North is a brilliant scientist in medical research looking for the cure for Huntington's Disease. She and her partner, Ivan, had developed a drug they had hoped would be a break through, but after testing with very poor results, realized it could actually become a dangerous chemical weapon. Louisa keeps a very close eye on her research and samples, and becomes disturbed when she sees things have been moved around. When reporting it, everyone feels she is mistaken, but she is concerned, and on alert.

Part of Louisa's job is speaking at fundraisers, which is particularly frightening for her. She has anthropophobia, which is the fear of people. She is hiding on a balcony, giving herself a pep talk, when she is found by Six, who just so happens to be there providing security for the event. (It's his first assignment.) He is intrigued by this beautiful woman with an affliction he has never heard of, never mind be able to spell.

Suspense, action, and danger will keep you reading, not to mention a hot, sexy romance. I couldn't put it down and wish I could rate it with more stars! Can't wait to read the next in the series.

5 STARS!
