Can you believe it's been 5 years since I started TBQ's Book Palace? Yeah, neither can I!
In that time I've (slowly) learned some things. From HTML codes (basics only, mind you) to how to approach a publisher for an ARC. I've changed the blog layout and design a few times, moved things around, added new things and changed the way I write my reviews (trust me, this one's a good thing--my earliest reviews on here are horrible, especially the titles for the posts!).
I've started a few memes. First was Lusting for Covers, which I run every Sunday. I'm a CoverWhore (and Proud!), and I love nothing more than to share a gorgeous cover every week, as well as see what cover you've been lusting after.
Then this past year I started Ink Readers, a pen-pal program for book lovers. I've had a great time writing letters to the various members, and the highlight of my week is when I find a letter in my mail. It's right up there with finding a book in the mailbox. :D If you'd like to join the fun, you can find all the information for the group, including the sign up link, here. We're a small group right now, but we're slowly growing!
This past year I started working with Kame, who's been writing many wonderful guest reviews for me. Thanks, Kame! :) (Also, to anyone interested in trying their hand at a guest review or two, see this page for more info!)
But most importantly, I've met many wonderful readers and bloggers, and I hope to meet even more in the years to come! Maybe even one of these days I'll be able to get to RT or RWA and meet you guys in person. But until then, feel free to chat with me here on the blog, on Facebook, Twitter, GoodReads, or just through email. :) I'm always happy to talk books!
Now, last year I had a whole month of giveaways and author visits planned. This year? Yeah, I kind of forgot about my blogoversary until...ahem, May. Oops. So I'm afraid it won't be as big as last year. BUT, I'm still doing TWO giveaways, with FOUR winners. Here's what I'm giving away:

Tell us about the last AMAZING book you read. You know the type--the book you can't stop thinking about, talking about, or recommending to others! I've had my fair share of reading funks this year, and I need some good recommendations (ignore my Mt. TBR pile in the corner...she's just jealous!)

Congrats on 5 great years - thank you for letting me be one small part!
Congrats sweetie on 5 years! Love your blog and would not want nothing change. Found you awhile back with Lusting For Covers and love every moment of it. You are a sweetheart and happy to have you in my life. Love our email chats and excited we finally got our SATRAL going. Love your reviews and got some new found authors and my poor TBR pile keeps growing. I also love Kame guess reviews. Great blog and look forward to many years with you and our friendship. Because of your LFC meme I also met some wonderful other bloggers that I look forward to every Sunday who pick what.
Thanks, Kame! You are very welcome, and I hope that you continue to be part of the blog for years to come!
Enjoy!

Congrats on the blogoversary! I really enjoy the reviews and author interviews :) Ummm... the last awesome book I've read was Midnight Blue Light Special by Seanan McGuire.
Congratulations!!
I love the fact that I know I'm going to find amazing books to read.
The last incredible book I read was THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak.
Happy Blogoversary! Thank you for the chance at an awesome giveaway. :)
The last book I read that stayed with me was The Conqueror by Kris Kennedy. Wonderful!
WELL! I have been following your blog about 2 years and I love the information I get from the little links you have. I wish you would have just a BIT more HR stuff.
I think I don't really have a book that stays with me...maybe Annemarie Selinko's "Desiree" Love that book. I kept a copy for years but leant it to a nun who never returned it! I used to remember E-V-E-R-Y book I read but I must be getting old...losing it!
Please enter me in the giveaway! Thank you.

I love the blue, but sometimes the post titles are a bit hard to read. Also, the tabs are a bit hard to read as well. Apart from that, I love everything!
Hmm... last book like that was Own The Wind by Kristen Ashley. AMAZING.
I LOVE your weekly Lusting for Covers posts. I have major lust for certain book covers (insert dreamy sigh).
The last amazing book I read which I can't stop recommending to everyone & anyone is actually a series. Consequences by Aleatha Romig & the 2nd in the series is Truth. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those books. They royally screw with your mind!
Thanks, Erin! :) Never heard of that book, off to add it on GR.
Enjoy!
TBQ
Ah, thanks! :) I have a confession--I've never read The Book Thief.
Enjoy!
TBQ
Thanks! :)
I've not read any of Kris' books, but I have them on my wish list. So glad to hear that you loved that one!
Enjoy,
TBQ
Thanks! :) I'll be trying to add more HR. I've been going through genre binges--sometimes it's HR, other's its YA...I try to keep a variety going though.
Enjoy,
TBQ
I'm sorry that the text is sometimes hard to read--I'll see what I can tweak with that. Thanks for stopping by the blog! :) Kame really enjoyed Own the Wind, too, I'll have to read it soon!
Enjoy,
TBQ
Thanks! :D Nothing beats a yummy cover!
Ooh, never heard of that series, I'll have to add it to my list though.
Enjoy!

Happy bloggy birthday!
Love this blog something fierce!
The book I haven't been able to stop thinking about is Warm Bodies. I read it awhile back, but it's still with me. That right there says something. :-) Also, just watched the movie last night. Which is, whoah, good.
Let me know how that works out!! :D
I come to visit. See what's new. Congrats on five years. The last book I read was Flirting with Disaster, and loved it.

Happy Blogoversary! The last book that I can't stop thinking about is Heart of Obsidian.
Congrats to your 5 years! This is my first time here and I must say I am super impress by all the reviews that you did and the genre although I'm more interested in the historical romance review. The last book I read was The Secrets of Mia Danvers.
