Here's my candidate for the week:
Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca (May 6, 2014)
Series: X-Cops, 1
Genre: Paranormal Romance
When Special Forces Captain Landon Donovan is picked for an assignment with the Department of Covert Affairs, he’s stunned to find his new partner is a beautiful woman who looks like she couldn’t hurt a fly, much less take down a terrorist.
Ivy Halliwell isn’t your average covert op. Her feline DNA means she can literally bring out the claws when things get dicey. She isn’t thrilled to be paired with yet another military grunt, but Landon is different. He doesn’t think she’s a freak and he’s smokin’ hot.
Soon they find themselves facing a threat even greater than anyone imagines...and an animal magnetism impossible to ignore.

There's just something about this cover that caught my eye, and after reading the blurb, I'm definitely looking forward to this new series! :) The heroine looks tough, the hero looks sexy...really, what more could we ask for?

Kame's Pick:
The Rebel by C.J. Archer
Publication Date: October 22nd, 2013
Series: Assassins Guild, 2
Genre: Historical Romance
Cole's heart is dark.
He's a mystery, even to those closest to him in the Assassins Guild. All anyone really knows for sure is that he's ruthless, grim, and cares little for his own life. So when he loses his memory during an attack and thinks himself a naive eighteen year-old youth again, no one can really believe the transformation. But as his memory returns, so do the nightmares and the dark reality of who he has become.
Lucy's world is bright.
When gentle-natured Lucy falls in love with the damaged stranger, she thinks him a smiling, amiable gentleman. But rumors of a murder in the nearby village have her suspecting that her patient may be hiding a terrible secret.
Can opposites really attract?
What will happen when Cole regains his memory and his past catches up to him?

Okay TBQ - that might actually cause me to read a paranormal! I will await your review.
I like these covers. I love CJ's book.
:) I hadn't heard of her before Kame showed me this cover. I'll have to look into her previous books.
Enjoy,
TBQ
:D But first I have to find a review copy! lol. Perhaps NetGalley will have it in Jan/Feb?
WOWZA--the first cover is Bad A.S.S. Love it. I admit to not ever reading a book by the author. I'll have to check it out.
Second cover---the hero looks so meaty and thick, lol. Thick arms, thick neck...it makes me wonder what else he has thick, no?
Here is my L4C for this week: http://csmaxwell.blogspot.com/2013/10/lusting-for-covers-one-to-hold-by-tia.html
*snort* Well, you know what they say... Thick arms, thick.... *smirk*
Enjoy!

CJ tends to write in the Elizabethan Era. I enjoy her stories and since she her books have become part of montlake romance some her stories cover have gotten a face lift.
Oh I would not mind fighting beside that hunk with the first cover. I do not if I would be able to control my self not to jump him.
Nice back on the second cover!
Miss you both last week! Been MIA was not able to partake in any memes.
We missed you, too! :)
Hehe, yeah I wouldn't be able to avoid jumping him, either!
Enjoy,
TBQ
Melody - so tell me more about CJ books - steamy, sensual or more action than intimacy...It is second in a series should I read the first? GAH what am I thinking - my TBR is huge!
LOL Kame~ They are pretty good reads. The Lord Hawkesbury books center around the stage. Her new series are a splinter from the Lord Hawkesbury book. Her heroine's tend to be unconventional, which makes them interesting reads. She also has some Victorian books and a couple regency. They take a little time to get into them, but once you do they are pretty good.
