Kristi Cross has had the hots for her friend, Cameron Jackson as long as she can remember, but she knows she’s not his type. She’s nothing like the women he dates. So when he suggests they play for a kiss over a game of Hearts, Kristi can’t resist. Even if she loses, she wins. Because she’s finally going to taste him.
Of course, one kiss can quickly become something altogether steamier, especially when both parties are on the rebound…
Fall in Love on Tryst Island… When a group of friends share a vacation house, wild hijinks, unexpected hook-ups and steamy sex ensue.

Kame's Review:
Kristi Cross and Cameron Jackson are part of a group of
college friends who share a vacation home. Kristi needed to get away from and
regroup after finding her boyfriend of three years with one of her employees.
When she arrives and sees that Cam is there her deep feelings towards him
resurface and Kristi is not sure how she will make it through the weekend.
I liked Kristi she was a character who told you exactly how
she felt and hid very little. Cam is a hunky computer wizard. He has newly
realized feelings for Kristi and POV on this discovery was done very well. He
is sort of part computer genius and part caveman in how he has become extremely
possessive of Kristi within hours of their decision to try a rebound
relationship. Both characters were not
as developed as I would have liked, but this is a short novella and there is
only so much that an author can do; I hope more about them is revealed to us in
the future installments of this series. The additional characters kept me
interested and had great interaction with Kristi and Cam. I did find the whole
group still sort of stuck in their college ways and sayings. They reminded me
of the cast of characters in the movie St. Elmo’s Fire but at a vacation
home instead of a bar.
This is the first installment in Sabrina York’s Tryst Island
series. The group of college friends who share a vacation home is a great
vehicle for a series of books; plenty of characters and a great location. The
friends all come from different walks of life and have different careers
lending to various different possible story lines. The only thing that seems
that will be consistent is the sizzle; this series is classified as Erotica.
Sometimes Erotica can be filled with steamy scenes and no real plot, however
this book had a good plot and the heat and steamy scale this was just fine, not
too much.
This was a short read, under 2 hours, even for a
novella. I hope other installments are longer to build more on the friendships
and scene. I will definitely check out the next installment in the series.
3 1/2 STARS!
