Whatcha Reading? (2)

A new Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently (or just finished) reading and we will share our brief thoughts on books that we read during the previous week but will not be reviewing.

July 5th - 12th:

-- Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper --

I needed a fun read, and this one did NOT disappoint -- very light and fun. I listened to this on audio during, and the narrator did a great job, not only with different voices for the characters, but also for the performance, it only added to the story. I will be listening to the rest of this series in the future. Have you read Molly Harper? She has a very fun writing style. 4 Stars

-- Four Nights to Forever by Jennifer Lohmann --

First, this novella takes place in my home state. This automatically made me very happy, as this is a rare thing in romance novels. I admit, the locale did not play a huge part in the story, but nevertheless, I was happy to see Utah as the backdrop for a romance.

Doug and Cassie's romance is fairly quick, spanning only a few days. If you're not into rushed romances, then perhaps this one may not be for you. I admit, I would have preferred their story to be longer, as I'm not sure that I can so easily accept that they were in love that quickly. Regardless, I still enjoyed their story, and I'm interested in reading the rest in this series, which, I hear, are all going to be set in Utah.

All in all, a fun, cozy romance. If you need a quick and easy read with just the right amount of steam, this may do the trick! Between 3 1/2 and 4 Stars

*Note: Jennifer will be on the blog next month with a guest post -- stay tuned!

I've also been doing my yearly Harry Potter reread, finishing up Goblet of Fire this week. As always 5 stars. I don't care how old I get, HP will forever be a very important, very comforting reread for me. Always.

So what are YOU currently reading?

Enjoy!

Until Next Time,

I just love the humor in Molly Harper's books, they are so light and carefree, which is refreshing for a paranormal romance.

Love the Molly Harper books. They are so fun! The narration for them is great too.

Yes, exactly! :) I had a smile on my face during most of each day's dog walk, listening to that book.

Ooh, hope you enjoy it, it looks like a good one, Pat! :)

Yes, she did a fantastic job with the narration, something I'm realizing even more now that I've moved on to another audiobook, one where the narrator is falling a bit flat for me. :/
