A new Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently (or just finished) reading and we will share our brief thoughts on books that we read during the previous week but will not be reviewing.
July 13th - 18th:
TBQ:
-- Treble Maker by Annabeth Albert --
I so loved this book. It was fun, the setting a bit different from what I normally read, and very sexy. The sexual tension and build up was well done. I'll have a full review, with a favorite quote or two, will be up on the August 4th. 4 Stars

-- Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh --
I liked this book. It was a bit slow going for me at first, as I have a problem with insta-love/lust, which this had in spades within just a few pages. However, I did grow to like Molly and Fox, and the rest of the band, and I will continue the series. There was plenty of steam (no complaints here!). I listened to this on audio, and the narrator did a decent job; not the best I've heard, but definitely not the worst. I might try the narrator again if she was doing a book I was interested in. Between 3 1/2 and 4 Stars

DNF
-- Playing with Trouble by Chanel Cleeton --
I finally put the book aside at 30%. There wasn't anything particularly bad about it; it simply wasn't holding my attention. I'm trying very hard to learn the important reader lesson: if you're not liking a book, don't waste your time, move on.

ReRead
-- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling --
As I've said before, HP is a comfort reread for me. This was no different. Even though I've probably read each book a dozen times over the years, each time I find something I missed or forgot since the last reread. And yes, I did indeed cry (again) when Sirius died. All the feels. Always. 5 Stars
So what are YOU currently reading?
Enjoy!
Until Next Time,

I do love Nalini Singh!! I had the same thoughts on Rock Addiction...but you really should try out Rock Hard...its the best one of the series, and there isn't a insta love story, its more a steady progress which is what I like and I totally would re read that book. I love the way she balances out the emotional connection with the physical one...and its written so well. Trust me, I think you will love that one.
Yes, I know Kame and Pat both loved book 2 so I'm hopeful that it will work more for me as well. :)
I like what you said about your DNF. I'm really trying to hold to that philosophy about books that don't grab me, too. This is why I had one DNF last week and tried not to feel guilty for doing it. Currently, I'm reading Treasured Secrets by Kendall Talbot. It's about an int'l treasure hunt romance. So far, its okay, but hasn't totally grabbed me.
