HER BEAUTY IS POWERFUL.

They call her Kaz. She's a gorgeous model with a good head for business—until now, at least. Kaz has just been fired from her latest photo shoot for having the wrong tattoo in the wrong place at the wrong time. But a chance encounter with photographer Jake Lowell could make everything right again . . . if Kaz is willing to accept his proposition. What does she have to lose?

HIS DESIRE IS DANGEROUS.

Jake has been searching for the perfect model to pose for a body-jewelry shoot—one that will leave no room for modesty. Is Kaz, who is nothing if not professional, ready to bare it all for a man she is not sure she can trust? It's an offer that's too good to refuse . . . and as Kaz finds herself growing more comfortable with Jake, the attraction between them reaches arousing new heights. But while the artist and his subject learn more about each other in the intimacy of wine country, evil lurks in the shadows—and soon it becomes clear that someone else has designs on them...

Pat's Review:

Kaz Kazanov is a beautiful 6'2" model who has had a very bad day. She arrived for a shoot very early in the morning for a shoe ad campaign. Since only her feet would be on display, she wasn't too worried about her appearance. After being ogled by a perv in her changing room, she just wants it over. Arriving back to check in with the agency, she finds out she is fired! The perv talked to the shoe client about her tattoo and her personal piercing no one would have seen in the shoot. Exhausted and furious she heads for home. A man standing in the receptionist's office happens to hear her complaints. Speaking to the receptionist, who happens to be Kaz's roommate he describes the type of model he is looking for. The more he hears about Kaz he knows she's perfect. They meet for coffee and she's in.

Jake Lowell is a well know photographer in the San Francisco area. He's been searching for just the right model for weeks. Now that he's found her they're headed to Sonoma, for some very glamorous photo's of Kaz modeling beautiful, intricate jewels. Some traditional, some not so traditional. What started out as a job, turns into a sensual, very sexy few days in a romantic vineyard. Each has family and personal issues they are hiding, but they are so attracted to each other they decide to have a quick sexual affair as friends. It ends when they go back to San Francisco. It is an idyllic weekend, Jake gets more than enough photos, but can't seem to get enough of Kaz. They are both sad to see the weekend end.

Jake has also been distracted by mysterious threatening texts that seem to be escalating. The texts use the name he buried twenty years ago, he's not that man anymore.

The descriptions of the locations, the jewels, and her very personal piercings are like a beautiful love song. They are exquisite, sensual and pull you in to this titillating story. This story also has danger and suspense, which adds to the enjoyment. This can be read as a stand alone novel, but the novella Tangled starts the series perfectly.  The next book in the series is Redemption, anxiously awaiting what happens next.
