SHE'S A SMALL-TOWN GIRL WITH BIG DREAMS.
Nine years ago, Neve McKay fled her small Southern town and disapproving family to seek a career in the big city. Now she's finally coming home - and hoping for a fresh start. But the relationship that shattered her world still haunts her. And even among her nearest and dearest, she doesn't feel safe.
CAN THIS BAD BOY BE THE ANSWER TO HER PRAYERS?
Ian Campbell is a pure Scottish muscle - as hard and handsome as they come. But when Neve walks into his bar, his heart melts . . . and he vows to have this gorgeous and somewhat vulnerable woman in his life - for better or for worse. What is Neve's tragic secret? And how can Neve expect Ian to protect her, when doing so could put his own life at risk? The only thing Ian knows for sure is that he will do whatever it takes to keep her out of harm's way - and in his loving arms.

Pat's Review:
Trouble headed out of town in a fancy red sports car. It returned ten years later in a junker wearing old jeans and carrying a back pack that had her life in it. Trouble's name was Neve McKay. McKay's Treasure, Mississippi and her estranged brother Brannon and sister Moira were surprised she was back.
Her first stop, Treasure Island the local pub, puts her in the sights of manager Ian Campbell. The dirty old bar she remembered is now a cheerful place with the wait staff wearing kilts. All Neve sees is Ian, and he wants her when she walks in the door. But fate, or the fact neither one has a condom, steps in, and she heads to family friend Gideon Marshall's place for a night. Gideon is now Chief of Police, still in love with her sister Moira, and always a good listener. But she can hide for only so long.
This is a story filled with history of the small town, suspense and Neve's fear. Neve and Ian are a sizzling combination, gradually she tells her story to her siblings, Ian and Gideon; it's not a good story and she is in danger. Surrounded by home and love she's ready to stop running and fight back. Exciting read with a sexy Scotsman, a woman in danger and romance.
