[Pat's Review]: "Running Wilde"

Running Wilde by Tonya Burrows
Publisher: Entangled: Ignite (January 4, 2016)
Series: Wilde Security, 4
Genre: Romantic Suspense

Lark Warren can never stay one person for too long, so when her past starts to catch up to her, she hops the first bus out of DC, steals a new name, and goes deep into hiding in New Orleans. Unfortunately, all it takes is the wrong set of eyes to blow her cover. Enter Vaughn—the man she once let too close to her real self.

Ex-Navy SEAL Vaughn Wilde has one objective: drive Lark back to DC to face charges for identity theft—which would be easier if he could forget the three lust-filled weeks he shared with her before she disappeared. With each passing mile, he can’t ignore the heat still sparking between them…or the fact he has led her enemies right to her.

Lark can’t stay with Vaughn, not when it will put him in the crosshairs of the dangerous man she’s spent the last five years running from. But Vaughn is determined to keep her safe—even if it means she’ll run off with his heart all over again.

Pat's Review:

Former Navy SEAL Vaughn Wilde is dealing with a lot of frustration and anger, and takes to the cage to help get it under control. Something his brothers are never happy about. He wins the bloody fight, but realizes he has come to the attention of a major Mob boss by defeating his son.  Not good and will undoubtedly cause some trouble. Plus, the fight really has not taken the edge off his obsession to find Lark Warren. She is wanted for identity theft, stealing some personal property of his, and he needs to understand why she left.

Lark Warren, one of her numerous escape names, is in New Orleans as Sage Evans. She ran from D.C. leaving behind a good job, an ex fiancé, and Vaughn. The three weeks she spent with him were heaven, but she had to run again. She was so tired of running, but the alternative was deadly. She realizes she has come to the attention of two suspicious guys at her job, asking too many questions, and they seem to be watching her. Time to run again, but she doesn't have enough money so soon after her last escape.

The suspicious guys are actually Marcus and Jean Luc, members of the Hornets, and friends of Vaughn. They quickly let Vaughn know they spotted her, and he is on his way. He confronts her, but it turns out very painful for Vaughn and Marcus!

The crazy roller coaster ride begins!

This novel is another very enjoyable look into Wilde Security, the brothers, and their loves. Cam, Vaughn's twin, is very involved in this case, trying to protect his brother.  Lark/Sage is constantly trying to get away, she does not want to involve Vaughan and Cam in her danger. Kidnapping, car crashes and bad guys hold your attention to the very last page. A very edge of your seat read!

4 STARS!
