[Pat's Review]: "Return of the Bad Boy"

Return of the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon
Publisher: Forever (April 26, 2016)
Series: Second Chance, 4
Genre: Contemporary Romance

He's a mess...

Asher Knight has three constants in his life: music, beautiful women, and a bottle of Jack. He lives for the next gig, the next city, and dreams only of a life spent in front of an arena full of screaming fans. But Asher's nomad ways come to a sudden stop when he learns he's the father of a three-year-old from a past relationship and suddenly this rock star bad boy is forced to put down roots.

Only she can clean up

Gloria Shields is no one's fool. Sure, the sexual chemistry between her and Asher has always been intense, but she'd never risk giving her heart to a man who has a perfect record for breaking them. Except the man desperate to make things right with his newfound son is nothing like the rock god she's guarded her heart against for years. And it isn't long before she starts to wonder if life with this bad boy might be the best thing that's ever happened to her.

Pat's Review:

This is another delightful story about Evergreen Cove and its bad boys coming home.

Asher Knight is a rock star, covered with tattoos and HOT. He has recently bought a home in Evergreen, although he lives in LA, to be closer to a son he just found out about. A result of a one night stand with a groupie, Hawke is now almost three, and Asher wants to be in his life. He and his band are on a break from touring, working on finishing up songs for a new album.

Gloria Shields is a literary agent from Chicago, she has settled in Evergreen to be near friends and a calmer life. She was plotting her dream home when it was snatched off the market by none other than Asher Knight. Gloria is Asher's agent for his series of children's book he writes, and also a past lover. They had some very hot encounters till she happened to find a near naked woman answering his door in the middle of the night. She walked out. He has consistently denied he even knew the groupie was in his house, but they both have moved on. She plans on keeping this strictly a working relationship. But Asher, his tiny dog Tank and adorable son Hawke have other plans.

It was so much fun hearing about previous characters from Evergreen Cove, and their now growing families. All our bad boys have seemed to have found their forever person and settled down to be happy men.

This story can be read as a stand alone, but the previous books and their bad boys are a pleasure to read.

4 STARS!
