-- Dirty Work by Tara Wyatt (anthology) --

Overall I liked this anthology; Wyatt I'd read before, the other two authors were new to me. Wyatt's story had the most potential and I wish it had been turned into a longer novel. I'll have a review up August 9th! 3 Stars

-- Notorious Pleasures by Elizabeth Hoyt --

Another library audiobook. I'm trying to play catch up on series through my library; I love Hoyt, and started reading her when she first debuted, but then fell behind on her later books.

I really liked this one. Since I'm not a regular HR reader anymore, it did take me a bit to get into the grove of things, sort to speak, but once I did, I remembered why I love Hoyt's writing and stories. The one thing I always love is the fairy tale that Hoyt sprinkles through the book, one chapter heading at a time, and there's a great one included in this book.

The narrator did a great job, too, and I'd listen to another book read by her -- good thing, too, as I'm sure she did the rest of the series, which I have on my library list.

Story: 4 Stars
Overall: 4 Stars

It was a slow reading week for me, and I really can't blame it on the books. It was more of my own mood in general; I just didn't want to focus on anything, books or otherwise, this week. *sigh* Hate when that happens. Even His Royal Favorite, which I was dying to read after book 1, has taken me most of the week to read -- and it's totally NOT the book's fault. It's me.
