A COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS

With two kids and an active life, widow Faith Dustin only wants peace and quiet for Christmas. But her snowy Pine Gulch ranch is nothing but chaotic. All that keeps Faith going is her helpful neighbor, cowboy Chase Brannon. He's always been "good ol' Chase," her faithful friend. Until he kisses her under the mistletoe…

Years ago Chase blew his chance with the woman he's loved since childhood. Now he's determined to step out of the friend zone…and into the role of husband. But the scared and stubborn Faith won't let herself fall. With Christmas just days away, Chase will need all the magic of the season—and the help of her two matchmaking children—to unwrap a second chance at love.

Pat's Review:

This heartwarming Christmas novel will warm your spirits and make you smile!

Faith Dustin is the owner of the Star N Ranch and co-owner of the Christmas Ranch with her sisters, Celeste and Hope. It hasn't been easy; Faith's husband Travis died in an accident on the ranch and left his family in debt and disheartened. Two years later, life for Faith and her children, Louisa and Barrett, is looking up. In great part thanks to her best friend and neighbor, Chase Brannon. They have been friends since childhood and she can't imagine not having him in her life.  "In many ways, she and Travis were a team and commingled their Ranch operations..."  There is only one problem: Chase has loved her forever. He stepped back when she fell in love with his best friend, but quickly stepped back in after Travis's death. It's been four years since his divorce and two and a half since Travis passed away -- it's time for him to tell her his feelings. It's Christmas and what better time to convince her he would be good for her. His eleven-year-old daughter is with him and best friends with Louisa, providing a reason for more time for them to spend together. But Faith is terrified of another commitment, especially one where if circumstances go wrong, she could lose Chase.

Starting with a "date" to a holiday party which goes terribly, Faith and Chase are at odds. She spends time trying to convince him to date another woman, and he wants only to convince her he's the one. A confrontation results that puts them at odds, both brokenhearted, but it's Christmas and only happy endings are allowed!
